Well, have to say we were well beaten last night. To give Norwich credit they played well although we gifted them their first two goals through our own defensive mistakes and nearly gifted them a couple more with errors in the second half.
Anyway, proof if ever it were needed that the battle for the two automatic promotion places is pretty open; can only hope we manage to bag one as I fear for us if we end-up in the play-offs...

Difficult few weeks but back to the top of the league after Norwich lost.
All over the place at the top at the moment (Sheff Utd fan here - how the hell we threw the game away against Villa I will never know. If only!).Wouldn't want to put money on anything from the top 7, but I think it's now down to those teams (and I hate play offs!). Some big games and banana skins coming up...

For the neutral your game at Villa was very entertaining but you're right, at 3-0 up with less than 10 minutes to go you should be winning that match!Wouldn't want to put money on anything from the top 7, but I think it's now down to those teams (and I hate play offs!). Even by the standards of the Championship it feels wide open for promotion this season; I'm thinking the automatic places are likely to be two from the current top four but the reality is that on a given day almost any team in the division can beat anyone else and with 3 points for a win things can change quickly if a team suddenly has a run of good results.
I also hate the play-offs and if a team has been at or near the top all season - and then slips into a play-off place right at the end - it's often bad news; I wouldn't fancy our chances in that scenario and hence if we're going to get promoted I think we need to finish first or second.....
I have low expectations at present tbh. We're a gritty side with one or two players in massive form. But if we were to go up, we'd be exposed badly. I'm still just glad we're not in League 1 any more! (And above SW of course ).
We've never won a play off and finished 3rd and not gone up more than once. So if we do go up it will be automatically...some big games coming up. If we can string a couple together now, who knows...but I can actually see us finishing 7th.
Bring it on! There are some big names up there at the moment.

I typed up a whole paragraph of hypothetical stuff but deleted as none of the matters until the season is over. It’s time for our lads to step up and get back in the flow of playing they had at the start of the season where we dominated games.
The 10 day break will be good for some much needed rest, Bielsa has given the players 4 days off and is having some time off himself which is rare.
Hopefully Izzy Brown will be match ready by the time we play Bolton next week and he bags a few.

That was painful to watch, brought back memories of previous seasons.
Huge slip up and with a big game on Friday night too. Ffs
I didn't think we deserved to lose the game tonight but the worry was how little we created against a mediocre team despite dominating possession. It's now going to be a real test for Bielsa but if we repeat that sort of showing between now and the end of the season I reckon it will be play-offs at best (and with probably only a slim chance of coming through those successfully as we'll go in as a team out of form and on a downer whereas at least one of the other three won't be).Huge slip up and with a big game on Friday night too. Well that was certainly a statement! Clearly someone at Elland Rd was reading this thread and said "lets settle those guys nerves" and this happened:

16 seconds! There can't be many faster than that this season. I was a bit worried we would ease off after that super early goal, but nope. Fresh as a daisy and motivated like it was late August. 11 games left, oh, and we can no longer be relegated this season. Assuming the EFA doesn't randomly find an excuse for penalty points. I'm certainly feeling more positive about our promotion chances than I did 24 hours ago.

I’m still buzzing, can’t sleep after that performance. What a game, one hell of a turnaround from Tuesday!
No one was expecting us to score that early but the second Pablo lashed it in Elland Road erupted and the atmosphere was electric until well after the final whistle. The energy levels were bonkers especially Alioski.
Huge win, let’s hope we can go on a run now whilst the teams around us slip up.

If anything can kick them out of their post-Christmas drop-off in form, it is a game like that. I only heard it on the radio, so it was great to see the goals too. Someone on Twitter has edited the Sky video together with the Radio Leeds commentary. The Boy Whelan has as much energy as the lads on the pitch!

I have absolutely no idea how he kicked that first goal. He just seemed to tap it and absolutely rocketed away into the corner!
