Could have done with Brentford doing something against Sheffield Utd but we're still 2 points clear of them.
Yes, think the Blades dodged a bullet last night; Brentford had 69% possession - and 29 shots to Sheffield Utd's 10 - but the only stat that matters is Sheff Utd scored two and Brentford didn't score any! Given how dominant we were against Reading it's disappointing we didn't improve our goal difference relative to the Blades by more than one last night but still a good performance and on another day we could have easily won by a lot more. It's starting to look like two from the current top three for the automatic promotion places which makes Saturday's game huge for both us and Sheff Utd....
Very disappointing as I felt we deserved at least a point today; however, once again we didn't take our chances and gifted them a goal courtesy of Cooper's clanger.
It's by no means over for a top two finish but sadly it's now out of our hands and being honest our run-in looks more difficult than those of either Norwich or Sheffield United; hate the thought of the play-offs but I fear that's where we might be heading...

Oh good god.
Seriously.
Behind twice, a stuffed penalty, Sheffield Utd in front. From that to winning 3-2, and Sheff losing! From a nightmare to a dream in 10 minutes. Now we just need Middlesbrough to do their job.
We don't do this the easy way do we! These lads just don't know how to give in, that is the one huge difference from the last decade or so. So much belief. Doubly sweet that it was against Millwall.
39 games down, 7 to go.

This will be the story of the run in.
Sheff Utd are sadly great at chucking away a lead. You guys are harder fighters. The game between us was a blip for you.
I suspect the positions will remain this way. Norwich don't look set for a slide so playoffs here Sheef Utd come (and another season in the Championship ).

I think Norwich will take one of the two automatic promotion places so it's between us, you and possibly WBA for the other one. The one thing you can almost guarantee is all the teams will drop points along the way and maybe goal difference will end-up playing a part; not much between the teams in that regard either but the Blades hold a slight advantage at the moment. Think it's going to go all the way to the wire but either Leeds or Sheff Utd are going to end-up in the play-offs and that won't be an easy pill to swallow having been in and around the top two for so long. Momentum often counts for a lot in the play-offs and if they can keep Grealish fit I actually think Aston Villa will take the third promotion spot; that being the case it's probably top two or another season in the Championship for us (and you!).
