Always fancied Everton to escape but was hoping Villa would beat Burnley tonight so at least our destiny was in our own hands on Sunday. But as it is we now need to get something at Brentford and also hope the Toon can do us a favour by beating Burnley; heart says it might happen, heads says we're heading back to the Championship....
Newcastle will win. You just have to believe and get a result.

Good luck (Everton fan).
Appreciate the good wishes and well done to Everton for turning it around! But sadly I think we're done for - even if Newcastle beat Burnley I don't see us getting anything at Brentford so I reckon we're down regardless of what happens at Turf Moor....

I have a feeling that Burnley will get a last gasp draw at Newcastle (who will have about 50 shots at goal and Pope will save the lot). We will get a draw against Brentford and go down on goal difference.

Stay up or go down I’m ready for the season to end as it’s been a disaster on multiple levels.

I still can't understand how it went from Everton 2 down to winning 3-2 and Villa banging on the door and not being able to get a winner... I'm gutted. Comes down to the last day now and really could go either way.

I fly to Ibiza 6am Monday morning, so I'll either be drowning my sorrows or partying my arse off.

I had pretty much written this season off when we didn't make any significant signings in the winter transfer window. Hopefully it will end in our favour, but if it doesn't - meh. Maybe we need to sign Huddersfield's coach, and get the owner to pull his finger out.

All I’m holding on to is since Marsch came in no team other than the big boys have really blown us away. (Ignoring those arsenal, Chelsea games where it would of been tough with 11 on the pitch, let alone 10.) Against teams outside the top 6 we’ve generally hung in there so even though Brentford are playing well, just hoping we can snatch something. Whether it’ll be enough who knows. Already warned the missus I’m gonna be a nervous wreck Sunday night whatever happens!

A mate at work keeps telling me ‘It’s the hope that kills you’. So, my plan for the weekend is to try and forget about it, assume we’ve gone down already and be pleasantly surprised if we get a bit of luck.

That’s my plan…

The reality is it’s Saturday morning and I’m wearing my lucky socks already and feel sick to the stomach!

You jest, but I’ve already thought of that… they’re going straight in the wash tonight when I put on my lucky slippers!

Now Everton are safe it’s time to get REALLY desperate - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/1261...

My maths is a bit rubbish but here goes - The rules say clubs can loose maximum of £105 million over 3 years. Everton lost £381 million over the last 3 years. They are able to write off £170 million due to pandemic losses. So with that in mind their losses will be in excess of £200 million for the last 3 years, so they are way over the £105 they are allowed. But Everton are confident they have broken no rules. I must be missing something.

Not that i think anything will come of it, especially not with it he time frame ourselves and Burnley have asked for.

Well Villa thumped us 3-0 at Elland Road in Marsch's second game in charge and we failed to beat Southampton at home even though they'd been on a dreadful run of form prior to playing us. So while I admire your optimism IMO the omens for tomorrow aren't good - really hope I'm wrong but I think it's likely we'll lose by several goals at Brentford...

In principle I agree with Radz going after Everton on this. But in reality, they're an established Premier league club so nothing will change and Radz is partly responsible for our downfall this season for not spending where we needed it.

There's no point in having rules if there are no consequences for breaking them so if Everton have indeed done something wrong they should be punished. However, even if they are found to be at fault I don't think there's any chance of a points deduction being applied to the current season; if one was deemed appropriate they'll be forced to start next season on negative points but no way the Premier League will apply one for 2021/22 and relegate them. That's presumably what we and/or Burnley are after but if so it's whistling in the wind IMO.....

Ah yes, forgot about that Villa drubbing! I suspect you’re right but keeping that sliver of hope

You have not costed the new stadium into your figures. All the figures were presented a few months ago to the FA and they were satisfied then, why would they change their mind now.

Not a Leeds fan, but live in West Yorks and my 3 boys were born in the city. Will be keeping fingers firmly crossed today for you. Its a one club city and Leeds should be in the Prem.

Cooper is a liability. Let’s just hope Brentford keep missing their chances.
