Let’s mention Raheem Sterling buying 500 tickets for his old school which is apparently very near to Wembley so that the children there had a chance to attend a big match (even though none seemed to support City,)
Top bloke.
550 actually.Top bloke.
Had to laugh when they interviewed four pupils wearing City scarves and the teacher, not one of them supported City.
(Still, it was a free day out for them....bless)

On topic, it was a boring game, City did enough to get infront and then defend. I thought Walker was very very lucky to stay on the pitch, it should have been a red card, especially with VAR in operation. Todays semi final was much more entertaining, I hope Man City win it so 7th gets Europa.
Cheers Yes it was rather a poor game and Walker was an idiot, no excuse.

Dear lord, what a sad little life Jane.
Man City have been to Wembley 17 times in the past 10 years, are in London 3 times in 3 weeks (FA Cup Semi, Palace away and Spurs away in CL), I don't blame them for not going, especially when it's likely they'll make the final. Rival fans using attendances to try and sling mud at opponent fans is rather embarrassing to be honest.

I agree. As a Liverpool fan I'm sick of the sign on and feed the scousers ste. You're all paying £50 to watch millionaires boot a ball round. None of you can say you're poor. Also throw a few quid in the food banks outside the ground if you think you are visiting such a poor area. That said, it doesn't mean people are rich and city have a smaller fan base than their city rivals and LFC so when games are thick and fast and people can't afford to go every game attendences will drop. While at the other clubs those tickets will get sold to other people.
For a big game united and LFC could sell out the stadium a few times over, city less so. City will try to grow the fan base over the years. They know they have some very loyal fans who followed them when they were ste.
I wonder if it has an impact in arguements over the dodgy commercial deals city have done. Those ones that make them more money than the bigger club with larger fan bases, but nowt will happen with that.
Average attendance last season (Liverpool) 53.016
I agree with the rest of your post though.

Capacity of each is 55000 and 54000 so I don't think those numbers necessarily invalidate my point. We all know that attendence figures are often misrepresented. I've been in the Etihad when there has been a number of empty seats around the ground and an attendence of 54500 claimed.Average attendance last season (Liverpool) 53.016

From a BBC article
Manchester City: Greater Manchester Police's average figures were 7,482 lower than club figures, again based on 12 games.

The capacity of City's ground will rise to 63,000 in the next three or four years.
Regarding the title race, may the best team win

how many points you guys thinking you will get from the remaining games?
I think we will get maximum points hopefully, because I don't think Liverpool will drop any, the big one is at OT...anything can happen. It would be no disgrace to finish second to Liverpool, they have been outstanding this season.

I was looking at the very first post on this thread when I started it, it just shows how far we have come.
Yes, I know we have had Sheikh Mansour's oil money, etc, etc, but other clubs have wealthy benefactors....

I think the way and style we’re playing football is what is slowing down the inevitable road to hatred that other big teams “enjoy”.
It’s hard to totally dislike a team that play such beautiful attacking football and whom, not that long ago, were crap, blundering from one disaster to another.
Sorry, but the likes of City, PSG & Chelsea will usually be held up as the most unfortunate corruptions of formerly decent football clubs. Nothing has been built, its all just been bought. If City do manage to do the quad this year will anybody really give that much respect? I don't think so, its all a bit "meh"It’s hard to totally dislike a team that play such beautiful attacking football and whom, not that long ago, were crap, blundering from one disaster to another.
Obviously the football is good, but nobody likes an uneven playing field, or people/institutions that so obviously bend the rules.
City didn't ask for the money, could have gone to Newcastle, Everton, Villa.....any top club really.
I think most City fan's think let's enjoy the ride for a few years, we've put up with enough ste in the past, and spent big money on very poor players, or ones that didn't really perform at the club, or at least justify their fee.
Steve Daley, Kevin Reeves, Robbie Fowler, Wayne Bridge etc.

The comparison with Liverpool and Utd is plain silly. Liverpool and Utd had big money from big success (like any organisation). Chelsea and City were medium-sized clubs with barely any record of recent success; they were hollowed out and filled up with new money.
That is why people call City and Chelsea "plastic" - the owners could just as well have come along and won the league with Aston Villa or Burnley. The identity and history of the clubs is pretty much irrelevant, as is shown by the fact that City still cannot sell out their ticket allocations.
All this talk, (and I understand most of it is a wind up) of City having no "history" really pisses me off. That is why people call City and Chelsea "plastic" - the owners could just as well have come along and won the league with Aston Villa or Burnley. They have been winning leagues and FA Cups fairly often since the 1930's before the big money came in, in fact Maine Road was the largest ground in England (outside Wembley) in the 1930s,....84,569 v Stoke in 1934.
Yes we have gone through barren times, but so have most clubs, (eg United in the early 70's) and the first five years of Sir Alex's tenure.
Matt Busby was a genius, and saved United in the fifties even he came from City,

I don’t ever go there, is it Mahrez they’re not happy with?
I think he gets undeserved flak tbh.
I see there’s no KdB.
