Well, that didn’t go exactly as planned did it.
Take nothing away from Liverpool, they were brillant tonight.
Ok, slightly different tactics, Aguero being fit and a few decisions going our way might have made a difference but I’m not sure tbh. I blame the bus attack disturbing the team but I’m clutching at straws.
I darent look at the Liverpool thread, their smugness is unbearable at the best of times and i bet they’re wking themselves into a frenzy right now.
Never mind, only half time.

Little, if any smugness. Just lots of happy, proud supporters. Never mind, only half time.
No need for a wk. We just royally fked your lot.
well, we'll know properly in a week.
reckon the scouse players will be a bit disappointed they didn't grind us into the dust. drop in aguero, someone who can play left back and raz (oh boo boo, he dared to leave our wonderful club) into the starting lineup, and gee them up having got to work without having their vehicle smashed up by feral scum, and who knows what might happen.
we are consistently playing above the level of the rest, but don't seem to know how to deal with teams like liverpool and spurs who can ramp their level up several notches for individual games, even if they do dip several levels below par straight after.

From a neutrals perspective (yes Liverpool played well in the 1st half) but I thought the linesman on the near side and the ref were quite poor last night.
1st goal, in the build up, should have been offside and there were several occasions where City were just onside and were given offside.
Some decision he gave, in terms of fouls were in reaction to the crowd too. Liverpool getting the rub of the green with decisions of late (Mane against Palace too where he should have been given a 2nd yellow).

Yep,but the result was a fair reflection of the game .1st goal, in the build up, should have been offside and there were several occasions where City were just onside and were given offside.

But 2-0 is easier to come back from than 3-0, had the officials chalked off the first goal, which would have been the correct decision. So a fair reflection should have been 2-0.
Jeez - he was half a leg off at most and with the linesman bang in line with Mo and the defender behind it is not an easy call on slow motion let alone at real time speed. Plus giving the attacker the benefit of the doubt. If that clear corner to Liverpool wasn’t given incorrectly as a goal kick we might have scored for it.
And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle!
Thought the officials did pretty well in an electric atmosphere
I'm pretty sure the ref was the same one who did the Spurs / Madrid game at Wembley, he was first class then too as he was on Wednesday.
You can't point fingers at the ref when the Linesman makes an error. Must be so hard for the lineman when the margins are so slight.
I think Cjty will beat Liverpool in the return leg but stopping them from scoring i think will be the issue.
Do we know if Salah is fit ? could be a bonus if he's not.
