He certainly was eccentric, to keep it polite.

City played very well. Correct result in the end.

Usual “standard” of referring for us in the CL. Hoffenheim played well and didn’t need the help the officials seemed determined to give them.

Agree re Sergio - silly yellow card to pick up.

On another note, Fernandinho seems to be giving the ball away a lot this season; hope the years haven’t caught up with him. Should maybe look at other options in the “easier” PL games - Delph or Stones? Or Zinchenko?

Almost broke the “annual defeat at Anfield party” yesterday.

On a side, I went on an Etihad Stadium tour yesterday and it was brillant. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone at all.

Yes, went on it three or four years ago, been on the United one too, a good day out both of them.

I don’t know if the Tunnel club was open then but, if not, it’s worth going again as that forms quite a big part of the tour now.
