I saw all the 'jokes' on twitter last night. "more goals than fans at the Emptihad".

More of a Kane but not quite on a par with Divi Alli.

Genuine question. What is your motivation for posting that link?
Are you trying to get a rise or do you think City fans aren’t aware of the situation?
You lot and the Spuds love going on each other’s threads and winding each other up, but, excluding one idiot, we aren’t that bothered tbh smile

Stop being so precious, it was a article that cannot at 8.30pm and I posted it not so long after, it's a man city thread and a man city article so was posted for you and all others to see.

If I had posted an Everton article then yes I'd wondered why I had posted it. It's as much for you or any other city fan to read as it is fans of other clubs.

If there was an article on Aston Martin DBS I would post it in the DBS thread, don't forget this is not bluemoon

Already expressed my interest in this ongoing news story on here. Mostly as I would like to think that any club that's found guilty of breaking rules so as to gain a huge advantage over the competition pays a price. You'll not get a rise out of the City fans though. They are blind to the shenanigans going on in the background. See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil...

Say nothing until proceedings are commenced seems to be City's strategy on this one here.

I have to say the evidence as it reads is pretty damning and doesn't put City in any positive light.

If it proceeds and they are found guilty then expulsion from the champions league can be the only punishment.

oil money or profits from selling condemned meat to schools? all depends where your moral compass points.

FFP is rearing its head as the old cartel clubs are weakening. UEFA may go for it, but are acutely aware of how many skeletons are in closets. could be a really dangerous move if they make it, as mansour will unleash lawyer hell on them.

UEFA are weak and corrupt. They've been incompetent/complicit in allowing many clubs to get around the FFP rules with dodgy accounting and sponsorship deals.

I can't see how this will play out. It's going to look bad if UEFA do nothing and I can't help but think it's going to go badly for UEFA if they try to make an example of City also.

Lawyer hell? rofl

I'm sure Judges are stting themselves as we type...

What UEFA don't like is being lied to. City's fine was reduced as City presented a case previously that breaching FFP was a simple mistake. Turns out, if the evidence is to be believed that it was a deliberate move.

Be interesting to see how it pans out. All these clubs have the money to lawyer up be interesting to see if UEFA put their money where their mouth is.

Just pleased it's not my club that's in the spotlight.

erm.... yes. and what have judges got to do with it?

the lawyers would unearth all the muck on UEFA well before any judicial process. infantino must have been complicit for example. UEFA's position now is reaping what they have sown under pressure from the old establishment clubs around europe.

no, it's not your club. dirty money was ploughed into it well before the spotlight of FFP and the attempt to maintain the cozy status quo.

You have to ask what the original aim of FFP was.
As I understand, It was to prevent smaller clubs spending money they didn’t have and getting into financial problems.
The rresult was though that It maintained the status quo and prevented smaller clubs from success.
No wonder the Old elite are moaning. Particulary if their star is waning.

the clue is in the name for me, or maybe I'm just a cynic wink

fair play, rather than something regarding prudence says it all. maintenance of the status quo under the guise of stopping clubs from overreaching with stupidly risky strategies to get to the top.

It's the same rule for all. The clubs voted to bring it in to help them from themselves, clubs were going to the wall.

Smaller clubs might not ever enjoy getting any silverware, survival alone and fans being able to go and watch a 3pm KO on a Saturday, celebrating and having a whinge and a moan along the way, would be considered a success. Look at Bolton now...

Rules are rules, City gave a big fk you to UEFA and now face the heat. As I say be interested to see how this pans out.

Tbf, it wasn’t a unanimous vote. Unsurprisingly the top teams like Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and surpringly Chelsea voted for it. Plenty of smaller teams, like City, voted against.
A bit like the Brexit vote, the results been a cluster fk disaster.
