Rugby does it better IMO. the ref is miked up and you can hear what he's asking the TMO to adjudicate on. The replays are shown and an off-pitch official advises the ref whether he can award the try / whether there was serious foul play or whatever.
Not sure that you could mike up the ref in football matches unless you want to broadcast the players calling him a for 90 minutes, mind.
In NFL and College 'football' in the States the ref is miked up and has control of his mike. Not sure that you could mike up the ref in football matches unless you want to broadcast the players calling him a for 90 minutes, mind.
So should not be a problem

No-one wants to lose a match over a decision that was wrong due
Maybe, but to win a match over a decision that's wrong is one of the greatest joys of football. Some of my happiest memories have been when a dreadful decision has gone my teams way, especially away from home. But I guess that avenue of pleasure is going to be taken away, along with outfield players going in goal and loads of other stuff, in an attempt to "improve" the game.Well they can all fk off. I like the game just fine, with occasional crap decisions thrown in. ps off and leave it alone.

Look at all the leading sports, F1 ........
F1 ceased to be a sport when it became a big radio controlled video game, I fell out of love with it years ago

Tennis became much better with the introduction of hawkeye. Rugby is likewise far superior to how it used to be.
It has wrinkles but they will be ironed out. It won't completely change things as it's still down to how the ref interprets the video he's shown but at least it will dispense with the bullst that goes on at corners...I can't agree with anything that would seek to undermine that.

I think City will get the cheque book out in the Summer big time and sort out the dead wood in the defence.
Attack wise we are OK, but Sergio's not going to be around forever, and Merlin is coming to the end of his magnificent career.
I think the issues with your defence are purely a consequence of your attacking play and the midfielders you have.Attack wise we are OK, but Sergio's not going to be around forever, and Merlin is coming to the end of his magnificent career.
All teams are prone to quality counter attacking .

There’s an article in the mirror today saying there’s a new photo angle proving Llorente s goal was with the aid of his arm.
Even if this is true, so what.
It wasn’t a hasty decision and was carefully made using the available information. This is football and, whilst disappointed, I’m happy with the result and happy with VAR and I’m sure everyone did the best last night.

the BT highlights programme had a great camera angle from the far post which clearly shows the ball brushing Llorente's arm before hitting his hip which sent it towards goalEven if this is true, so what.

Still don't see it as handball as a) it is clearly not deliberate, b) arm is tucked into his body not out-stretched, and c) zero time to react given it deflected off players head in front of him
