Nuno has seemed pretty confident that we will be getting players in but yeah, there is a big drop off from the 1st 11 to the subs. We've obviously been buying for the future but I can't imagine that the games won't catch up with us at some point. I reckon bare minimum we need a 1st team defender and a 1st team centre mid with a bit of guile. Neves has looked pretty jaded of late and although we've got a lot of players who can operate in different positions I think we're vulnerable in those positions mainly. A top quality centre forward would be great as well but I suspect that is a position that will wait until the summer depending on how Cutrone comes along.

What better way to recover from a mugging than by handing out one of your own? Norwich should have been out of sight there but nice to get 3 points. Couple of easy games next as well biggrin

I'll take a loss and tbf I expected a loss the way that Liverpool have been playing, but to lose like that is fking dogst. Still the only team not to have had a VAR reversal in our favour I believe.

Anyway, Vinagre is answering my questions about him and Neto was irrepressible. Quick recovery against Watford please.

I'd rather a terrible VAR against than the Brummie sloth celebrating

Thought you were excellent second half and gave us a real match, we were tired at the end and you still had decent energy.

The best and worst of VAR - clearly correct for first goal but I think we can all agree the VAR offsides are rubbish, your goal should have stood as should many others including Firmino.

Would love to see you make top 4 over United or Chelsea but reckon you will make a Europa place which would be another excellent result

These marginal offsides are doing my head in - if you look at last nights then the next frame or so sees the defender ahead of the Wolves player, Jonny.
There must be some kind of clear advantage gained by the attacking player before the offside can be given.

Unfortunately that’s not how the current VAR rules are written. It’s black or white be it a toenail or armpit.

It’s stupid but consistently stupid, hopefully they change the rule for next season

Cheers, I think Europa again is a Good target, hopefully with a decent run in this season's competition. Although gutted at the goal being disallowed, I think going in level would have been harsh on you guys, your first half performance was excellent. I think we did enough 2nd half to get a point but I can't be too annoyed at missing out. I suspect that Nuno was prioritising the Watford game with the team changes he made before the game, enjoy the title!

Poor performance yesterday, Moutinho and Jimenez in particular looked tired. Hopefully we get some competition in midfield to at least give us the chance of resting Moutinho occasionally. I'm not sure what is going on with Cutrone as he's looked decent, if a little short of confidence recently. I can't imagine that a tired Jimenez is a better choice than Cutrone charging about for 90 mins with a point to prove.

I haven`t had time to watch the perfomance against Watford, just had a text from my mates as the goals went in...

Though we`d at least get a point against Watford though.

I see Deeney picked up a yellow after fouling Adama, should`ve had a bet on that...

It looked like the first few games of the season. No movement and not much guile, the plan seemed to be just give it to Traore (which to be fair is a pretty good plan - if a little obvious!).

Watford did OK but both goals were from mistakes really. We need to sharpen up.

We could have been 2 up in the first 10 or 15 minutes but after that went down hill. Dendonker, Doherty, Moutinho and Raul not at the races. Can’t understand why Neves and Vinagre didn’t start.
I thought Neto looked our best player but was subbed off. Strange.

Not too sure what is going on with Moutinho's set pieces lately.
Hoping it's just down to general tiredness with him being a little older and playing so much.

Quite why he is still taking free kicks on the edge of the box while Neves is on the pitch is baffling however. Maybe I'm missing something.

A little disappointed we didn’t get at least a point tonight, Doherty really should’ve put that header in.

We were a lot better second half.

Liverpool may as well get the trophy now I think...

Well played tonight, gave us a really tough test tonight. Deserved a draw probably

Traore is a beast
