I see Arsenal and Chelsea have their official threads, the feckers. So of the 'Pool and non 'Pool fans, who thinks this is 'our' season?

Will it be the usual case of being out of the Title race by Christmas or are the minerals present and correct?

Will Robbie Keane score before September is out?

Question mark?

I agree. Early days, but I think this will be our best season for a long time. If I was forced to bet I'd put Chelsea top, then us and the scum in 2nd and 3rd, wouldn't like to say which team will occupy which position. Whatever happens, if it's close it will be a great season to support Liverpool.

So Stoke City at home this Saturday, any predictions?

A comfortable 2 or 3-0 win for Liverpool, IMO.

Well, you may have got 20mil, but you aren't scoring, and you are struggling... Might have been better to keep him, don't ya think?

redcard

Im sure it wont be comfortable for you at all, regardless of the final score it will be a physical battle for you, just hoping for another good performance from Stoke really, and hope for a point or 3. wink

See ya Saturday

I think my penultimate paragraph dealt with that.

There are ALWAYS replacements - it's just getting them in that is the craft.

As a blue-nose you can surely agree with that?
Yup... It does seem to be somewhat tricky!

Robbie keane will score on Saturday , Hopefully he will start with a strong team i.e Gerrard,Torres,Riera,Kuyt,Alonso,Keane and we should win comfortably 3 or 4 nil. BUT if Rafa meddles with his team god only knows what the score will be. YNWA

Well we played them and played AWFUL! But still beat them 3-2, so you should get past them pretty easily.. Saying that, who knows with these new boys.

Wow... Did you even read what I put? We played awful and have done all this season, yet best you. Liverpool, who are playing decently, should beat you. Get over it.

so is Barry going to stay at Villa?

as a villa fan i hope so but can't help thinking a deal has been done due to Barry being content to stay after saying he wanted to move.

I saw the game on Fox soccer channel, and yes, Everton were awful. However, we still beat you. I'm struggling to see why this upsets you. liverpool will beat you, despite what you think.

Your struggling to see why it upsets me when you say "it will be pretty easy to beat them, we beat them 3 - 2 and we were awful", Fantastic that, did you finish 5th last season? and yet only managed to scrape a 3 - 2 victory against Stoke, shame on you, thought the might of Everton would be putting 16 past Stoke, with the fact your 15mil new signing was playing as well.
Anyway thats football, ive got my opinion you have yours come Sunday I might be apologising,

Should win this weekend. I do hope that Robbie gets on the score sheet and gets some confidence. I also feel once he gets 1, then the rest will follow home in quick succession.

I am also hoping to be closer to the big 2 at the top, but can't see us completely overturning the deficite this season, but should certainly be closer. Is panning out to be a cracking season already though.

As always I will be focusing on supporting my team and manager!

Hoping Sami, Dagger and Degan get a run out on Saturday and that Keane (never, ever, ever call him "Keano" that is reserved for the Manure B team manager in the North East) will break his duck. Like to see him up front with Torres for the first half with Reira and Kuyt on the wings and Monster and Xabi in the middle. As always with Rafa, only he knows who will be starting. Up to him, he sees them every day.

Win should be comfortable unless we drop a b0ll0ck.

Watched the ressie match on .tv on Wednesday and they were woeful. None of them could claim a Carling Cup place against even Crewe on Tuesaday. Let's see.

Tis all for the mo
