Beauty of a save by Pickford towards the end there, that lad is the real deal

Are we waiting to offload Ross before paying the money for Siggy? getting tedious now! Completely agree with Ron that the window should shut before the season starts! I've said this time and again - utter madness! Not seen the match but amazing that Wazza got the goal on his 2nd debut biggrin

Welcome home Wayne.
A goal a game record so far in the PL.
hehe

Can't think what other news cheered me up earlier today. I know it was something.
Bloody brilliant. It didn't sound pretty but it never is against Stoke. Coyb!

As for that othet reason. One of their goals was a iffy pen. Only scored twice..lol.

I didn't see anything wrong with their pen. In fact, two of the Watford goals were without doubt at best iffy, probably should have been straight ruled out for offsides. However, the keybstone kops defending was hilarious and any attacking team are going to take many points of them, which is great.

They also won't outscore the goals they leak this season with that kind of defending. If I was an LFC supporter I'd be flogging off Coutinho and a couple of other attacking options and spending all the money on some defence, and I'd be sacking the defensive coach today.

But I wouldn't say this in the LFC thread, as only the opinion of a rose tinted spectacle wearing Red is of any value. It will be interesting to watch that thread implode if the remaining transfer window goes badly for them.....

Nothing wrong with saying any of that (as you well know but more fun to pretend we are all idiots I suppose) as most of it is very reasonable and what most of us think anyway:

Our penalty - clear cut, only an deluded Everton fan would say different

Their goals - only the 3rd was offside due to the stupid current laws, but tough for a linesman to spot, we should have been 2 or 3 up by then

Defending - keystone cops is generous, coaching must be woeful as flaws are clear, would be relieved to see a new coach or bring back Carragher

Coutinho - disagree, we should keep him and sell him next year when we can plan a replacement. It is clear we don't need the money to buy which is why we bid 70m for VVD, we desperately need someone like him

I think it's clear that most clubs don't need the money. Hence Southampton digging their heels in over VvD and Swansea over Siguurdsson.

But there comes a point that if a player doesn't want to play for a club, just get them gone for as much money as possible. You're just wasting a pile of money on someone that doesn't really want to be there.

Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and Man United next.

That's quite an opening run of games. Not sure how this happens.

We need a goal scorer.

I'd have Costa. He must be wondering where his future lies....?

Interesting stats on Wayne yesterday,51 sprints and distance covered 6.7 miles, only Schneiderlin covered more and he is 4 years younger.

Would be a very good signing, underrated by arsenal as he doesn't prance it in the goal like a ballerina after 15 1-2s

Gareth Barry off to West Brom. I really do wish him well as he as been a model professional and served us well for the last four years, just hope he goes on to break the record league appearances in the near future, I think he only needs five. Best of luck Gareth.
