There were stories about the way he handled some of the players down here at Southampton too. Obviously you're not there, so you don't know everything, but there's no smoke without fire. Him ripping Matty Targett a new ahole at halftime during the Leicester 2-2 game a couple of years ago springs to mind, and rumours about his poor people skills were rife. Apparently he was close to the sack during a barren run over the Xmas period in his last season at Saints, but oddly enough Shane Long sprang to life and started banging in the goals that Pelle had forgotten how to do. And then there was Mane. He hated Koeman, and Koeman hated him. It was one of the reasons Mane was eyeing up a move (though in fairness, he was good enough to make the jump up). Mane and Long were the two main reasons that season went so well, by the end of it! Mane will probably keep Klopp in a job now, too.
The whole saga has given Saints fans plenty to laugh about though; We've run out of laughing meme's. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving man in the game, in all honesty. Total snake, and now he's been found out. He did really, really well when he first came in, and the way the club operated, along with the way he operated was a perfect match. But with Everton, it was a completely different setup, and a completely different club. He was building something good, but he went after the £££'s and it's bitten him on the arse. Good.
Special mention should go to his brother Erwin, and Jan Kluitenberg (sp?) though, who were universally liked by squad and fans alike, and both apparently livid when they were informed they were to up sticks and move to Merseyside (well, you would be wouldn't you? ) Apparently Jan in particular had to shut his Twitter account down due to the incoming abuse from some mouth-breathing Everton fans.
I guess Cuco Martina will be praying Koeman doesn't get the Dutch national job, because he won't be able to sign for him!

^ interesting view thanks.
Until recently I quite liked him as a manager. There to get the job done. Ffs thats how most of us approach our working lives. My old man on the other hand hated him because he wasn't Everton. Didn't love the club like we all do. I know plenty of bluenoses of this view too. Then hard times = thin ice. We wanted to see Roberto do well when it wad st because he got the club. This was his achilies heel though as the squad wasnt disciplined enough. Ron sorted this quickly.
I so so so want unsy to do the business. Watched his press conference yesterday and he is everything Ron wasn't. What a guy!
Watch the interview he did with ToffeeTV. Couple of years old now but suppose he's much the same. He gives away his 4 values he mentions in the press conference but doesnt say in the interview.

Heart says make him manager now. Head says we need a pair of steady hands as this season could get messy and experience is needed.

There’s no question regard Unsworth cut him in half and he has Everton written through him, but it’s debatable weather he is ready for the PL. no harm in giving him a go and the players will fight tooth and nail for him, I am sure of that. I hope he as the conviction to play two out wide and go for it. What ever happens we are not expected to win tonight, so I hope they just go out and enjoy themselves. COYB
Must win tomorrow. Couple of results went for us today.
Predictions?
They have a new manager. We have unsy.
They will be expecting a bounce, but so do we. Im going 1-1 us being us.
See McCarthy got injured again in training. More time out.
Coleman could be months still? Was supposed to be back Nov. Barclay may be fit before him.
