I'd take Dyche over Allardyce any time. What he's done with that Burnley team, with their budget is nothing short of remarkable.
I don't think we're getting either. I see Rangnick has signed a contract extension at Leipzig so he won't be coming either.hilly10 said:
Sorry about all the gloom guy, but I think we will struggle to attract anyone the way we are, and 90% of the players with no passion or fight does not help matters.
No manager in demand is going to take a job where he knows that he wasn't even in the top 5 or 6 in the initial wanted list. You have 2 options, take someone who is doing well in a lower league, who will take the job knowing they weren't on the original choice list, or pay Watford £50m or whatever in compo to get their guy. Many clubs would pay that for a player, so why not pay it for a manager. Ascayman said:
Its bonkers that you are taking this long! for better or for worse at least the dildo bros at west ham acted, this is mental.
Everton is a huge job, Fat Sam, Dyche, the watford guy, Eddie Howe, Garry Monk would all jump at the chance to manage Everton just get it done its a farce.
Fat Sam has already told Everton where to shove their job. Dyche & Howe might not go, knowing that they weren't wanted until every other option was exhausted. Monk might do it. Not quite the case. Sam wanted a 3 year contract with a hefty bonus for keeping us up, we offered him a generous 6 month contract with a more realistic bonus and he walked, this is the nature of the man.Thoroughly depressing he is even in the frame tbh.
I don't mind Sam, I think he's actually a pretty good manager. We need someone like him to sort out the shower of st we put out week after week. It's obvious that we want Silva, and it's even more obvious that Watford don't want to let him go. If we have Sam until the end of the season then so be it. If it costs us an extra £5m than it would've done 5 weeks ago who cares? That's nothing compared to the cost if Unsworth took us down.
I can see a few weeks of us grinding out results under Sam until there's some confidence back in the team and we'll start playing properly. We've got better players than he had at Palace or Sunderland (well in theory, not that they're showing it now!) so I don't think we'll see route 1 football. I hope.

He's pragmatic and dogmatic which is exactly what you need right now - someone to grind out results. He tends to get the best out of limited resources (which is why I think he would have done a decent job as England manager before he self-imploded)You were paying RK £5M a year - if you were BFS you'd want the same plus a £2M bonus for keeping you up

Knowing how desperate you are, Big Sam will be screwing you for every penny...
Yes I know it irks me because the man is crapBeggars can't be choosers and as it stands Everton are some of the biggest beggars in the business - they might not be in the relegation zone but if any of the teams beneath them sort their stuff out and Everton don't, they're down. Big Sam will arrest that slide and get the club on an even keel again
