Not a red card in my opinion. What pissed me off more is where the free kick was taken. At least 5 yards further forward, the cut of the grass makes it easy to spot. Lots of positives to take though.
I think he red carded him as he was last man and it would have led to goal scoring opportunity - not the actual tackle itself , he would have been through and 1 on 1 m3sye said:

That's the debate though, because they have given him a 3 match ban for dangerous play, whereas preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity carries only a 1 match ban - I believe the club are seeking clarity.digimeistter said:

I think it was an honest attempt to tackle but it was a lunge and clear studs on ankle so could have been nasty, he was unlucky as sometimes that’s a yellow but I can’t help thinking the position influenced the ref, a clear 1 on 1 middle of goalInteresting point - thought all straight reds were a 3 game ban

We know this,how?
Pickford has let in 1 goal in every league game he's played this season and Allison has kept a clean sheet for the whole of his Liverpool career.
To be fair to Pickford, he's played for Sunderland and us last season and we were awful last season. I think most keepers would puck the ball out the back of the net lots with that kind of history.Pickford has let in 1 goal in every league game he's played this season and Allison has kept a clean sheet for the whole of his Liverpool career.
Although Liverpool haven't put 7 past Pickford unlike Allison...
It won't be Mina, so I hope it will be Holgate and Keane as I thought Keane did ok last week. It'll be interesting to see how Keane fairs this season without Williams next to him, hopefully he'll up his game.
The Brands interview was quite interesting, it seems Mina was on his radar before the World Cup which is promising. He was quite frank that we over paid for Richarlison, reading between the lines some money of that was to appease Watford about Silva
