Belated Happy Christmas fellow blues (and all the spuds and kopites who graced our page after last weeks disgrace wink )

Well, what a difference a week made. Excellent response. Remember all those people who wanted Dyche at Goodison? Probs the same people who wanted Silva out last week!

Digne's first goal was excellent but the 2nd! smile

Gilfy can actually score a pen! I'm not sure if it was one to start with.

Well happy.

pen was harsh, didn't look deliberate to me, and don't think it affected anything.

Digne - he reminds me (I've seen very little of him play though) of Coutinho with his talent for scoring amazing goals. Lets hope he continues in that vane.

Anyone seen Hilly or has he not emerged from the cave he retreated too after spurs? Someone should tell him to come out biglaugh

There some brilliant play yesterday but lets not get carried away. It was Burnley. Do Brighton away and I'll get the bunting out!

If you look at the incident again, immediately before the handball one of our forwards was having his shirt ripped off by one of the
Burnley players, so maybe that was a factor...

I have a feeling life under Silva may be like this, get smashed one week and then smash someone else the next week. ernard looked like he had a good game, I think he may take a while to settle in properly.

Just been looking at the table after Boxing Day last year and today. We've played 1 less game, 8 goals better goal difference and have the same amount of points. Progress? I kind of think so, we have a better starting 11 for sure and I think we've been playing better football (in spells). We're desperate for a decent striker though, if we can get one next month I think we could have a pretty good end to the season. I really do hope we can sign Gomes though....

No comments about yesterday I see so I'll break the ice and maybe instigate a group hug.

So, 10th at present and maybe 11th later on today, a far cry from where I thought we'd be at the New Year.

Most worrying thing for me yesterday apart from the capitulation to Brighton and another loss was the quality, or rather lack of it on the bench (Sigs excepted).

A few weeks back I was convinced a striker in the January window would see us cement a top 6 slot, I'm not so certain now.

We need 9 points from the next 3 games now for me to believe this is anything like a decent side sadly.

Brighton looked so much fitter and stronger than us too, WTF is that?

Happy New lads anyway, I may start to go watching Marine again for the next couple of months lol

It was a tough listen as well in the post match interview with Silva.

A shambles all round.

It's becoming Martinez all over again, shocking performance! Clearly he doesn't know his best front line.

He can keep playing players hoping that they are suddenly going to meet the required standard. They aren’t up to it.

DCL 62 games and 8 goals. The lad grafts but he isn’t good enough.
Walcott hasn’t created a thing for 4 games. Heads up his arse.
Jon Joe Kenny, grafter but lacks quality. Not good enough.
Keane is a disaster waiting to happen.
Zouma been punted round clubs numerous times. Why? Not good enough.
Tosun £28m, big lad, grafts, not good enough. None of the best teams in the world play with a big lump like him, Man Utd are finding out Lukaku is a hinderance rather than an asset.

I could go on.

Klopps 1st season we finished 8th, yes we had a good cup run and he took eye off the league but at this time we were 11th ..
My point is based in the game v us (lfc) you were a breath of fresh air to the normal Everton teams. My point is you have to give him time and at least 2 summer's to get this right..
No good you changing managers times after time just as things are not great at the start, as fans you have to be patient and just accept it will take time if you really want to compete with the top 6 again...
