Thanks Ray, very decent of you. All the best to you and yours.

Did your seat get cleaned up after the ‘incident’?

We’ve got to lose one day.
Let’s hope our lot haven’t eaten as much crap as I have.

Do you know what? Not bad at all in the circumstances.

There’s better teams than us been scalped by this lot.

Gary Neville slating the tactics in the first half, he's clueless, the tactics were spot on, keep it really tight so we're still in the game to have a bit of a go in the last 10-15. Nearly worked!

The gulf in ability and money between the two sides was vast, if we had been more open from the start we'd have conceded 4-5.

Neville's Valencia tried to play against Barcelona and lost 7-0, buffoon.

That was a free game for us provided our goal difference didn't take a hammering, absolutely no one thought we had a chance anyway, a draw would have been a bonus, critical to beat Brighton now.

Played well as the 2nd half went on but the first half was surely not what is expected in the PL from a home team?
So little possession and if Sergio had had his shooting boots on it would have been 0-5 by half time!
Still points win prizes and Newcastle showed good spirit, espeivally in the last 15.

Also, what a signing Merino looks, he's a better passer than Shelvey, really started to open things up when he came on.

Good plan, only tactic we could have used.
Nearly worked if that header went in.

Yes and no, man for man your lot are streets ahead, Rafa came up with a plan that gave us a feasible chance of a point, realistically all we could hope for. So on that basis sensible, on the other hand if the league do not do something about the disparity in spending you’re going to see more of it. Which I certainly wouldn’t want, but do understand why you take the approach when you have to.

At least we gave it a bit of a go in the second half. Onwards and upwards.

Neville was a dick from the get go, utterly cretinous.

A free game in some ways, to only have -1 in the GD column is not that bad. As you say Brighton next up is much more important in the round.

Morning all. For once, and without any real justification, I feel somewhat positive about today’s game.

So on that basis i’d suggest that those of you who are skint after Christmas lump on Brighton.
