Big win, good results elsewhere.

Optimism rising. I should get back to worrying.

We deserved the win as we played better by far.

I'm the most hopeful i've been of survival now. I reckon another 2 points and we are safe.

Still doesnt change the position that if Ashley fails to sell up, we're still going to be in the same boat next year.

Change the word from players to the word manager and you might be onto something you prick.

Changing the subject, read this immediately fellow Toon fans. Some real insights and beautifully written.

Wow, that is an unexpected 3 points indeed!

Off to load up the VPN and dig out some highlights.

Yes unexpected for me also, we really played well and worked extremely hard.
Could not praise anyone above the rest as it was a proper team effort.

Delighted with that, absolutely delighted.

Safe? Quite probably. Cannot see any of the bottom three making up ten plus points over six games.

Rafa for manager of the year? Surely must be a nomination at the very least.

An expected 3 points from me, we've been awful minus a couple of halves for about 5 months now. This league is genuinely awful, it amazes me how we are still 8th!

However, you totally deserved that, got your goal, sat back absorbed the pressure well and tried to hit us occasionally on the break, the perfect away performance.

Lascelles is a great player and I've wanted him at Leicester since the summer, was rather hoping you'd get relegated so we could steal him. Alas, it wasn't meant to be!

Congratulations on survival!

I have no idea why but I'm feeling really quite positive about our situation now.

Huddersfield and WBA at home to come and I reckon Arsenal are vulnerable.

Then when you look at the run-ins for the likes of Southampton it looks pretty bleak for them and WBA.

Also, aside from that 9 game winless streak in the middle of the season we've picked up points pretty consistently.
Nailed it biggrin

Four in a row, great stuff!!
