Ran out of Radio Newcastle range about half an hour in to the first half, but was rescued by my mates Sky Go and the aux in port in the car.

The worst thing about today? Skys determination to talk the match down as Chelsea having an off day and not turning up.

Still, fk you very much Sky, well done Rafa and the lads. Tenth place is a job very well done.

Cracking way to round off a testing season. We've had some good, some bad and some dire games but, all round, I think we've shown strength of character and a willingness to put a shift in. At the end of the day we all appreciate that, win or lose.

Cheers one and all smile

Just watched the sky coverage, you’re spot on. Usual talk up of the big team, even redknapp was guilty to an extent and he’s generally the most even handed, and the achievement of the ‘smaller’, aka not London/Manc/Scouse, played down massively.

Anyway, if we could just see fat Sam get the bullet and disappear from the game that would not be a bad season all told. Him and pardew’s scalps and a top ten finish? Would have settled for that at the start of things.

I'm sure there's a Championship team with BFS's name on them.

Everton fans are even more disappointed with him than we were. Can't see him surviving the summer.

What a great way to end a generally quite enjoyable season. Who would have thought this squad would finish tenth at the start of the season? Brilliant!

My highlight is probably all the fans staying 100% behind Rafa and the players even when we had that awful run of nine games, didn't it pay dividends!

What about the rest of you?

Time for Mike Ashley to step up and show Rafa some ambition now!
Dream on, how do you think that the fat cockney waster has seen this season?

A: Done well, can push on after some decent financial investment.

Or....

B: Done well, can stay in the PL and rake in the financial rewards whilst providing minimal investment? 17th is good enough, after all.

I know where my money would go - on the latter, because that fat, useless, sweat shop directing wally is greedy, vain and an absolute tosser who thinks that he knows best. You need rid of him ASAP, I'm just not sure that he'll let go.

As for today, you absolutely killed them dead, well played beer

Sad to say I’m inclined to agree with you.

Just hope that the threat of Rafa going at the end of his contract is enough to make the market stall wker wake up.

What a great end to the season and the icing on the cake was it couldn't have happened against a nicer bunch.

Typical southern bias, the late BBC national news never even gave the match/score a mention, if Newcastle had been hammered by Chelsea it would have have been headline newsfurious, boils your piss .
Good to see dear old Ashley has increased his bank balance from, £2.437bn, up £277m on last year..., poor sod !

I think i'm the only Londoner not surprised at your result yesterday. I was at Wembley for the Spurs game last Wednesday & with a bit more luck you'd have beaten us too.

Not that i'm complaining mind.

Yep, horrible bunch in the main - thanks for doing your bit to ensure 4th.

Given Ashley’s untrustworthy nature I don’t get why Rafa doesn’t get a watertight clause in the contract saying he has to be given £50m net (say) for player acquisition otherwise he gets compensation - I guess it is still easy to scupper that by deliberately pissing off agents or offering low wages to any targets.

Ashley will be true to his word.

Rafa can have every penny the club generates. However, Cashley will be keeping all the pounds for himself.

And yet Livermore gets a call up and Shelvey doesn’t?

Southgate? fk off, fk right off, you camel faced tt of an excuse of a manager.

Livermore? Pissed taxi stealing prick from a team who couldn’t win a point all season ahead of Shelvey? Are you fking mental? You are a Southgate and I can’t wait to see you inevitably fall flat on your camel face.

P.s. fk off you useless arse, hopefully villa stay down in the st where they belong.

I wonder what Deli Alli's fall over to goal assist ratio is?

I can't help but think England had a good opportunity to utilise Vardy by using Jonjo's passing ability and vision. I can't see how we're going to create against the better teams with a midfield of 5 yard sideways passers but then what do I know.

Rumours floating around on Twitter that Villa maybe going into administration in the next week or two.

Who’s laughing now?
