Out again at the first attempt. Sounds like it was a fairly good game despite a 2nd string. Not done the injury list any good.
Can’t complain too much about that, played well enough and facing a good keeper at the end. Shelvey’s penalty was a shocker. Muto and Schar’s were crackers though!

4 points from 4 games, out of the league cup, with a squad that’s injuries mysteriously cleared up in time for the league game, no take over and still the FCB in charge.
League, probably where I’d have expected to be, sadly though, and more worryingly, because of a nicked win against Spurs, rather than the expected/realistic points against teams we can and should be competing with.
League Cup, as expected we didn’t put out a team beyond what we had ‘available’, excuse my cynicism, but I suspect that was the required result for the higher echelons at Barrack Rd. decent performance in the round, but there we are. Trebles all round in the boardroom.
So where are we? Exactly as I expected, out of one cup flirting towards the bottom of mid table with no real expectation of betterment anytime soon and a couple of injuries away from a relegation battle. Depressing about covers it.

Not shocked with the result but thought the team worked hard and showed a lot of spirit and determination. Can't fault them for trying and aside from a couple of individual errors, thought our shape was fairly good.
Unfortunately Liverpool isn't a place where we can fancy our chances at the present time. We've played 3 of the supposed top 6 in the last few weeks.
Brighton at home up next. I expect a more expansive formation and hopefully 3 points.

No need for you to apologise you didn’t do it, was a comment for discussion rather than a point scoring exercise. We’ve all got idiots at the clubs we follow. See that Rangers ‘fan’ comment to Scot Brown the other week for example.
I do wonder at times why people think this kind of stuff is acceptable in nay way shape or form. Can’t legislate against stupid I guess.
