You already are, big link up to their General Sports Authority, that’s what grips me tbh. Nobody in the media gives a stuff about that deal, but they do now? Rank hypocrisy.

Can anyone explain to me the logic of the premier league allowing losses of £105m over 3 years, but UEFA saying it can only be £26m over the same period? Surely that’s a fundamental rule that should be exactly the same given the nature of the football pyramid?

Very odd.

The Premiership and CL/EL are separate competitions. There is no pyramid.

The Prem figure is based on the perceived incomes of the clubs and the potential debt they could service. £105m is less than 1 season's TV payment. UEFA will make other calculations across all the leagues in Europe to determine their figure.

And whilst you could be within EPL spending but outside UEFA and thus be disqualified from CL/EL participation, why should the Premiership care?

It's all bks though. I'm pretty sure you could spend £20m in the Estonian league and walk it every year without any UEFA sanction and play in their competitions, whearas it wouldn't ge you very far in Italy.

There is effectively a pyramid though, in real terms in order to enter the UEFA competitions you’ve got to get to the top end of the Premier League, I’m not discounting the Cups, but to all intents it’s one and the same in any practical sense.

Therefore, why would the Premier League allow a significantly greater loss than UEFA? It makes little to no sense.

It is not a pyramid though, in the same way that the FA Cup is not pyramid. They are cup competitions that you have to qualify for. Teams from the Essex Senior League can play in the FA Cup via the qualifying rounds. Should Great Wakering Rovers have to adhere to the same financial regulations of Manchester United in the Premier League? Or vice versa?

The Football League also have their own FFP regulations, as to most other leagues in Europe. They are all different because the income and revenues of the leagues are all different. UEFA have their own regulations and if you want to play in their competitions you have to fall within them (or at least appear to, or not at all as I expect we'll soon discover). Different leagues, cup competitions and countries have different rules. It can't be that hard to understand?

Still wont believe it until I see Miss Stavely riding in on a camel before chucking the sports direct signs in a skip in a centre circle.

Been here so many times before I just refuse to believe anything until there is irrefutable proof.

So the fiancé of that poor journalist is now asking us fans to put pressure on the fcb to stop the deal?

She obviously hasn’t got the message as to what notice he takes of us. Can’t help but feel this is coordinated rather than off her own back.

Just get it done.

Given the world did very little in reaction to the murder at the time and due to the amount of trade in oil and weapons this country does with SA, then I can't see anything happening in regards to stopping the takeover.

Newcastle fans should write a letter to her explaining what it's like to have their club run by Ashley.

Indeed, the woman doesn't understand what real suffering is!! rofl

But seriously, I know there are question marks over some of the current PL owners, Chelsea & Man City for a start, but I don't think even their owners behead 20 people a month for "sorcery". Sorcery being the catch all charge they use in Saudi to murder people opposed to the regime (Royal Family).

What's for sure, if they pass the fit & proper persons test, you might as well forget the test altogether. If this lot of fking murdering, backward animals can pass, it's difficult to see who can fail.

Oh, here we go.

Man Utd have two deals with Saudi, no questions about that, Sheffield are owned by a Saudi no questions, Arsenal are sponsored by Rwanda, no genocide there at all......., Man City and the Emirates- take a glance at their human rights record, Chelsea and those ever so nice Russians-Syria or Ukraine or even bloody Salisbury, even the Qatar tv company and their country’s slave labour and bribes to get The World Cup. The fking hypocrisy of this has no bounds. Do one.

I'm sure if you trawl back thru this thread, you'll find plenty of Newcastle fans having pops at Chelsea and others re the dubious history of their owners. Because you were owned by someone who, horrible as he is, didn't quite fall into that camp, but you've still won fk all. Hence it was one of the few sticks you had available to you to beat others with.

Now it looks like you might be joining the ranks of the super rich clubs with dodgy owners, you are trying to make out it doesn't matter and no one has ever criticised others, when you lot have been in with the critics!

The fking hypocrisy knowing no bounds is all yours.

If this deal goes thru, you will join the ranks of the clubs everyone fking hates and wants to fail. In fact, you'll go straight to the top of that particular league.
