Oh, here we go.
Man Utd have two deals with Saudi, no questions about that, Sheffield are owned by a Saudi no questions, Arsenal are sponsored by Rwanda, no genocide there at all......., Man City and the Emirates- take a glance at their human rights record, Chelsea and those ever so nice Russians-Syria or Ukraine or even bloody Salisbury, even the Qatar tv company and their country’s slave labour and bribes to get The World Cup. The fking hypocrisy of this has no bounds. Do one.
It does seem utterly ridiculous.Man Utd have two deals with Saudi, no questions about that, Sheffield are owned by a Saudi no questions, Arsenal are sponsored by Rwanda, no genocide there at all......., Man City and the Emirates- take a glance at their human rights record, Chelsea and those ever so nice Russians-Syria or Ukraine or even bloody Salisbury, even the Qatar tv company and their country’s slave labour and bribes to get The World Cup. I'm sure if you trawl back thru this thread, you'll find plenty of Newcastle fans having pops at Chelsea and others re the dubious history of their owners. Because you were owned by someone who, horrible as he is, didn't quite fall into that camp, but you've still won fk all. Hence it was one of the few sticks you had available to you to beat others with.Man Utd have two deals with Saudi, no questions about that, Sheffield are owned by a Saudi no questions, Arsenal are sponsored by Rwanda, no genocide there at all......., Man City and the Emirates- take a glance at their human rights record, Chelsea and those ever so nice Russians-Syria or Ukraine or even bloody Salisbury, even the Qatar tv company and their country’s slave labour and bribes to get The World Cup. Now it looks like you might be joining the ranks of the super rich clubs with dodgy owners, you are trying to make out it doesn't matter and no one has ever criticised others, when you lot have been in with the critics!
The fking hypocrisy knowing no bounds is all yours.
If this deal goes thru, you will join the ranks of the clubs everyone fking hates and wants to fail. In fact, you'll go straight to the top of that particular league.

Nothing new there then... Everyone already hates us I also think it's a bit odd that for a fanbase that hates their owner, they seem very happy to keep him in billionaire luxury by buying replica shirts. If I was a Newcastle fan, I'd be going to the games but other than that, that fat wouldn't get another bean out of me. No programme, no food or drink at the game, and no replica shirt.

Alright Ray, getting bored of it, bored of no marks delighting in taking a pop at a fan base used, abused and without any ability to do sweet fa about the situation and just wanting rid of the fat arse and to have a bit of hope.
Hypocrisy and jealousy abounds. Especially from those who only ever seem to delight in others misfortune. fk ‘em. If we’re hated after this I just don’t fking care. Media always have for years, hence why they’ve not done their bloody job for a decade, bar a few notable exceptions.
Is there any end to the misery at your place or has that fella from Oxford made off with the cash? Does seem a tad dodgy at first glance.

Do they? I've never picked up on that vibe. I have no particular ill feeling towards Newcastle. I grates a bit that there's this myth that the Geordies somehow love their club more than other fans love their clubs, but that's my only (minor) gripe.

Reading the press and how they take delight in our problems, while at the same time telling us we should be grateful for being mediocre and that we're a small club (see post below yours!) I am also baffled by most of our fans. I've not bought any merchandise for at least a decade now.
Still it's not over till the fat bd sings and I still think there's a good chance it will fall through, why our fans allow themselves to get excited about a takeover again after all the previous letdowns is beyond me.

Not a Newcastle fan but I've never picked-up on any vibe they're disliked by fans of other clubs either (well, except Sunderland fans that is!). However, I think the "myth" the Geordies love their club more than fans of other clubs is probably due to the fact their support both home and away has tended to hold-up pretty well even when the team has been performing poorly. Even when they dropped to the Championship they were more often than not close filling St James' Park for home games (so circa 50k) and regularly sold their full allocation for away games; not bad for a club that hasn't won a trophy in decades and (IMO) better than the vast majority of teams in England would be likely to manage in similar circumstances.
It’s worth putting your business head on and thinking
“Why would I buy a business that cannot trade at present”
Regardless of how wealthy the answer got me is that I wouldn’t.
I just don’t know why on earth you would.
The only reason I can think of is if it were ridiculously cheap and you were very confident of seeing an upside in the not too distant.
I can’t see MA selling it cheap and I can’t see an upside soon
No deal!

Caulkin is still saying they've not had official approval, emphasis on official.Given that it will take a few days to transfer the payment I have a feeling we won't get an announcement until next week at the earliest.
