Apparently.

Don't worry though, Lewis and Jenson are doing the country proud on the other channel.

I'm not english but if I was I wouldn't be worrying about these friendly performances. The players will be way more up for it come the start of the tournament.

thank fk, fabio understands that frank & gerrard cant play together.

bad news, i think he has a boner for frank, hence he will start and gerrard will get stifled. wounded.

Japan scored two of their three goals in the wrong net.

Lampard is twice the player Gerrard is.

The way I see the two of them is that Frank is probably a more effective player in most games, but he takes few risks. He does a job he's good at. Steven Gerrard tends to have a more 'never-say-die' attitude and will do whatever he has to to try to pull a game 'round.

I'm fairly neutral on this subject, incidentally.

Which normally involves tripping over in or around the penalty box.

True but surely you pick a team based on current performances. Lampard has been good this season and Gerrard hasn't been at his best. I normally prefer Gerrard to Lampard but for this world cup, Lampard looks the better player.

I would pick them both, still think Gerrard is a much better player though.

Would anyone care if Capello moved on after the world cup? He doesn't seem to have brought anything new since the Sven and McLaren days.

He doesn't appear to have settled on a keeper.
He hasn't sorted out the fact that Gerrard and Lampard struggle to play together.
He hasn't come up with an answer to the left wing problem.
He hasn't sorted out an effective partner for Rooney.

I dont think the CL thing is a deal breaker. Chelsea have been there or thereabouts for quite a few seasons, the difference being 1 or 2 matches).

Lampard has won quite a few leagues lets not forget.

Overall they are players of different syles, i think Gerrard is better when he is on form as he offers mroe but fat Frank is very reliable and consistent.

No i couldnt car less if he stayed on.
I just hope the FA arent going to offer him a lucrative contract without a get-out clause, i really dont rate him and like you say, the problems are still there and yet again, the same old motley crew gets picked and still cant play well as a team.

rofl Capello is the best thing to happen to the England team in years, we play a far better game under him than the previous few managers and of the 24 games he's overseen we've won 18, and one of those defeats was a narrow loss to Brazil.

Who would you rather was England manager?
