I agree with Southgate when he said the smaller teams should have a pre qualifying tournament, winner goes into the qualifying stages. These hammerings will do them no good at all and if they can start getting a couple of wins against teams nearer their standard they might start to improve.

I couldn't give an arse about their standard, with the population size they are there are a number of minnows, who frankly just block up the fixture list with this bks.

In rugby or cricket the minnows at least are building the games profile and participant base.

This is just a waste of everyone's time, I'd be happy to see a European cup at international level with two trophies, a senior cup tournament and a minnows, plate tournament.
