nope - the wigan game was really sloppy and every team can have an off day, villa are a difficult team to beat at home

we played AM off the park last night so, all in all, things are going well

sure, RA would prefer to be top of the league with 100% record but if he parts company with him now he's even more foolish that I think he already is

what amazes me is how rafa is still clinging on

actually gillet has sounded the death knell, he's given him his backing

Brenden Rogers at Reading, I haven't seen the the supporters show this level of hatred to a manager for years. And the team are utter toilet, reckon he has 4-5 games max to turn it round.
Unfortunately he is still here. I think its unfair to level all the blame at his feet but he just doesnt seem to have a clue right now.
I'm amazed he hasnt walked himslef actually. Yes it is right that not all the problems at the club are down to him but he has had a fair input into the travesty that is the team at the moment and he seems to be an utter clown at the actual management bit. Because of the way the games fall I think Reading will be in the bottom three after Saturday, which will add a bit of pressure.

I am really torn at the moment, I want the team to win as relegation would be a disaster; but I want them to lose as it may mean that he will just leave! The Ipswich game is the key, lose that one and its surely all over!!!

3rd from bottom with 5 premier league points...

Zola has to be a contender....if the hammers are still the bottom 3?

eh.....Rafa's had plenty of chances to p1ss off to real madrid over the last few years and he's not....lets show him a little bit of loyalty before booting him out after a few bad results....

I agree. Huge changes all the time and playing a style that Reading have never been good at. Unfortunately I have a season ticket and I cant remember the last time where i actually look forward to going to a game.

He'd best keep that ear-piece then as its obligatory when working at a call centre...

Mark Hughes says "No need to panic over draws,"

The expectancy is so high that City fans walked out 5 minutes before the end.

I can't see Mark Hughes getting the sack after 1 defeat in 13 games and only being 3 points off the top 4.

As football's answer to Dale Winton now seems to be a little safer at Hull, I reckon Gary Megson could be the next manager to be shown the door.

Time for a name change? biggrin

It's coming to something when losing fewer games than any other team in the league & being 6 points behind the CL spots with a game in hand gets you the Spanish Archer before Christmas!!!rolleyes

Even though I'm not a City fan and don't really care in one sense, I'd like to think that at some point, the lightbulb will come on and one or two Chairmen/owners will realise that you need to give a manager at least a bit of time. However, reality is that the Premier League teams are going to get more & more like their Spanish counterparts on this front (but without the entertainment value).

Well, I've managed to get the first 2 right, just in the wrong order. I don't think my 3rd choice is going to come in though as I suspect there are at least 3 or 4 more likely candidates - Come in Rafa, Gianfranco, Ginge and Mr Fake Tan, your times are almost up.
Maybe they all (and Sparky) ought to have a word with this chap - How he is still in gainful employment is nothing short of witchcraft:

Impossible situation for MH, big budget (good) but has to get a team all gelled together etc. this takes at least a few months, prob a year... So it's all about who can make it work after the "gelling in" period has gone. Whether MH is the right manager (or Mancini for that matter) remains to be seen but I agree with Alan Hansen on MOTD, I don't think MC will be that much higher come the end of season.

However if Mancini is good and they DO keep him, MCity will do well next season. Would MH have been as good, no-one will ever know.

Question is, where will MH go in a couple of weeks? If I were him, I'd wait until new year just as transfer window opens etc. If Liverpool have a bad xmas period I can see Benitez going. Playing Portsmouth with a defending team??? WTF........

I'll happily claim ignorance and no-one really is an expert, esp not on here, a few of the pundits on MOTD seem to know the in's and out's a bit more.
