Why is the press still so anti-West Ham? Fair enough we got humped by Manchester Utd as my ManUre season ticket holding pal was only too happy to inform me through several gloating texts (and yes, he lives in London, Hayes to be precise) but "thrashed", "spanked" and "anihilated" were all used by the press.

Granted I might just be in a bit of a bad mood about the result, but I don't think 4-0 is a thrashing. Still, not having a shot on target is a shambles.

Looks like the Sullivan & Gold now officially interested in the club. Be interesting to see how it pans out.

Same old fking story,Hit bar and post, a sending off for two laughable offences, passed theirselves into nowhere and Zola saying he couldn't fault the effort. This is happening week after bloody week.
Fair play to Bowyer for not celebrating the goal, and mentioning that he never wanted to leave.

Well, here we go again. The inevitable relegation battle. Its the old Hammers one two. One boring season of mid table mediocrity followed by an arse tightening scrap for survival.
We really shouldn`t be 18th ~ this seasons EPL is utter crap, unrelenting sheeite from about 5th place down.

Yep, gonna be a long Xmas for the Irons. Hard to see any positives ahead of the next few games, Chelski at the weekend's going to be a real tough one.

Watched first half of the brum game on saturday & though we looked ok, especially towards the end of the half, but typically couldn't get a decent shot off, as usual too much fking around rather than taking a shot.

Christ knows whether Zola will be able to strenghen come the New Year, or more worryingly whether we can hold onto Green, Cole etc given the World Cup.

Well, Cole said in the Standard today that he isn't going anywhere and I'd like to think he means it seeing as how good the club has been to him.

I think Zola may only still be in a job because they can't afford to fire him. Shame really as, with a bit of money, I really think he could turn us around and into a solid Villa/Everton style team.

Agree. Can't really see Cole wanting to move but have we a choice if someone comes in at £10M+? Really hope it doesn't come to that.

When everyone's fit we've a decent first... 8, need another decent striker & central defender, oh & right back... we just don't get to see it often enough.

Think your right re Zola & anyway who'd replace him?

Porn king's bid seems to have been rejected at the moment. Reckon he'll be back in though.

Can't believe those ccensoredting Bolton fans cheered when Dyer went off and again when Parker looked as if he might have picked up a knock too. That's not even rivalry, that's just fcensoredking disgusting. Bunch of backward scrota.

What a terrible result. I really can't see us surviving this season. frown

Went off? What on a stretcher, by air ambulance or in a hearse? What did he break this time ~ his neck? Probably a particularly nasty case of windypops or a badly twisted sock.

Thats us pretty much fked I reckon. But, hey, good news the transfer window opens soon so we can ship out our only decent players and buy some over~the~hill midfielders for next seasons push for the play offs.

What a crock of st.

Nowhere near as bad as when Collinson done his knee on the touchline when no-one was within 5 yards at Wigan last year.It was immediatly obvious something was seriously wrong, yet their thick as st fans then were an utter utter disgrace when it happened.

Even as a Hammer it's hard to disagree with a lot of that,however.....
Firstly the love affair the press had with us finished with the Tevez affair, we now get more bad press than any other team rightly or wrongly.
Ever since I posted the Robert Green thread on here a few months ago he's been a shadow of himself, could also be linked with Collins going, a worse peice of football business I'm struggling to think of this season.Crosses pinged in at pace scare the life out of me watching, and I'll have Campbell on a free please.
If we continue with Cole out, Upson out and Parker missing 1 out of 3 games though injury/suspension then with the spine of the team absent we're down simple as that. A few weeks ago I was confident that we'd be ending about 14/15th, not now. Get the above mentioned back for a proper run and it " might" still happen, but it's more and more unlikely.

I didn't mention our stty fans. And I wasn't slagging off all the Bolton ones. I was criticising some censoreds who happened to be Bolton fans. We have more than our fair share, we're one of the worse clubs in the country in terms of rubbish, so called "fans". So no specs or deluded superiority complex here. I'm sorry if that's how my post came across though. I am particularly ill at the moment and last night's "performance" didn't make me feel any better!

I wouldn't say the press love us either. Lawro especially hates us.
