Rosler is taking over where Martinez left off. Shame we had Coyle in between those two. Suspect we'd have been a shoe-in for promotion by now if he hadn't been there.
Great result today, it's going to be tough for the lads having to play an important Championship match with only one day's rest though.

I've never seen us play like that before, not even under Martinez. City players looked stscared and clueless.

Boyce is a true hero.

Did Boyce actually get his foot to that though, or was it just a miskick by Dzeko? I know Rosler was congratulating EB on the tackle but I can't make it out from the video. Whatever, it was enough to put him off at the very least. Heroic stuff.

You should've gone to specsavers! Dzeko clearly lofts it over before Boyce's belated attempt to concede a penalty. Don't expect our lads to a) miss from that range or b) fail to conform to the Wigan stereotyping of 'Arsenal - the ref's best mates' and go down like a pole-axed elephant at such a clattering from the back!

The reverse angle shows Boyce getting a foot on it. As proved by the following play being a Man City corner.

EFA smile

So either it was a miss by Dzeko or it was a foul challenge ! Actually the reverse angle shows nothing of the sort -the ball has gone before Boyce is anywhere near it. Please don't quote the actions of the match officials as proof that something did or did not happen in play wink

the replays clearly show that Boyce gets a foot on it after Dzeko's contact, incredible block.

It's not clear from the .gif above, but Boyce does actually get a nick on it. The TV replays definitely highlighted that with some great slow mo close ups. On first reaction yesterday I thought it was a miss until the replays were showed.
