Great idea as said above ,players should be made to pay their wages to help pay towards the fans cost
Why? It's a great gesture, but players don't 'owe' the fans money, it's part of being a football fan to endure games such as these no? Should the Southampton fans pay extra as their team played so well?I know people who drove down , got the train down and a couple on the disabled supporters bus .
How do you quantify travelling expenses ?
Then what happens when we get howked at home ?
Paying the fans back in financial terms is a non starter , just do it on the pitch for the rest of the season please.

Going down.
The yo yo club in self destruct mode.
Whatever. The yo yo club in self destruct mode.
Anyway, whilst the club never really improves and is happy camping in the lower half, we've ground some fairly decent results.
Today was okay. Happy with a point. Could of nicked it if Wickham had his shooting boots on.
All in all its very meh. Not sure what the January window will bring.
Oh and Sterling moves to my no.2 of cheating bds behind Stephen Taylor (chances of being shifted from the no.1 spot are slim).

I would swap a half eaten Mars bar and a packet of hula hoops for altidore to be fair.
Defoe will get goals, but gus needs to change his tactics and get 2 up front with the wingers getting the ball in the box.
This. We won't ever know the true details of the deal but I hope SAFC have done their sums on the fee/wages.Defoe will get goals, but gus needs to change his tactics and get 2 up front with the wingers getting the ball in the box.
BTW you are being generous with a Mars bar and crisps.
