Everyone who has contributed to this thread must be utterly fed up now.

I was saying to my Dad at 80 mins yesterday "doing well but crying out for a striker to get more than single goal wins".

Right on que a few mins later we let one in.
Why oh why no subs until late in the game?

It's awful, Parky is clueless. Hopefully a takeover will happen and he'll be gone. Not sure a Pearson/Phillips combo is the right one though!

Walks away whistling innocently......

Tier one to tier three in less than a month. I now understand what it must have been like being a Sunderland fan.

grumpy

Well yes.

irked

Just you wait until our takeover (I do believe ours is actually real), we'll be back up there before you know it.

And then we'll continue where we left off, having faced you 10 times since the last time you beat us (August 2011 rofl)

Probably.

biggrin

Lee Johnson the new man in the hot seat. Not sure about that really, not a massively impressive record at his previous clubs.

Me neither. Gone for the cheaper option again?

Poor appointment, poor team, poor owners. We've established ourselves as a 3rd division club, the players we have now are without doubt the worst players we've had in the 40 odd years I've been watching this shambles of a club biggrin

Way too early to be indicative, but I'll take two out of two, and a very dominant performance. Let's see.

Two out of three, as he was nominally in charge for the impressive performance against Wigan!

Predictions for today's game?

It won't be an easy game and I feel as though teams up their game at the SoL so I'm going to be a pessimistic sod and say 2-2

Does anyone have any faith in Sunderland going up this season?

No, our squad of players is nowhere near good enough, unfortunately.

Hopefully the end of the salary cap and our impeding takeover will facilitate the much needed squad remodeling. So next season may be a different story!

In complete agreement, assuming our new owners provide the funds.

In all honesty I've found it hard to follow or care about Sunderland lately. It's a chore

Totally agree, despite the weirdness of this season feeling disconnected because of covid/ no fans in the stadiums. Have given up hope of even reaching the playoffs because we'd just lose in them!

It’s disappointing. Draw after draw after draw, then maybe a loss to a team below them for good measure.

Just can’t put teams away.

I think the SoL thing is true as well. Almost like the visiting teams raise they’re game because of the surroundings.
