Well done to Burnley for signing Grant - an abosulte steal for £1m. Arguably the best goalkeeper in england outside the prem.

Love it, half the clubs who haven't played Millwall have tipped us for relegation. I notice the two that did play us were in the other camp. Love the underdog tag.

Anyway six days to go now, membership purchased, looking forward to a few trips to new grounds.

Yep, roll on Friday night. City v Watford on Sky sports. Norwich have had a poor pre-season, we played Everton yesterday and lost 4-2 (cahill got a hat-trick), by all accounts we played ok, just a keeper mistake for the first and defensive mix up for their second, however we should have had 2 more ourselves. Going forward we look decent and are creating chances, just look suspect at the back at this level. We have a strong midfield, Surman already looks an excellent signing and i've heard good things about Crofts and Fox. Hoolahan will be the main creative player again. I still beleive we can finish top half/top 10, any better will be decent. Our gaffa, Paul Lambert, WILL, one way or another be managing a premier league club in the next 3 years.

Starting in 2 days, and after capturing David James, Bristol City are being linked with Michael Owen. Is in the Daily Mail - surely that's utter bobbins...?

Palace will be up there I recknon in the top 8 by the end of the season. Bookies have them earmarked for relegation which is quite funny after they predicted the same for Blackpool at the same time last (pre) season - and look where they went hehe

My mistake, i stand corrected, appologies paperbag . Was sure QPR signed him. Palace have kept most of their squad together, think Palace will be around 13th/14th area, safe but not challenging, which after nearly going out of business would be ok. Clyne is a decent prospect.

Looking forward to tonight, hopefully no repeat of last year on the opening day of the season. I do fancy us to get a result tonight, 2-0 or 3-1 to Norwich.

Yeah, bit disappointing, better 2nd half performance but our keeper was pretty poor. Grant Holt is gonna be a massive player for us and we need him fit asap.

Not to worry, this time last season it seemed even worse for you.

Not quite, but good start!

What a start! Great debut for David James - having to pick the ball out of the net 3 times and the Swans lost too! biggrin (I'll say that and Cardiff will probably get stuffed live on Sky tomorrow now! banghead )

Well, Palace were 3-0 up at half time and then it was 3-1, so it could have ended up 4-1 smile

Anyway, superb start by Palace and great goal by 17yr old Zaha.

Very strange looking table after the first day (almost) - not a single draw!
