Not quite, but good start!

What a start! Great debut for David James - having to pick the ball out of the net 3 times and the Swans lost too! biggrin (I'll say that and Cardiff will probably get stuffed live on Sky tomorrow now! banghead )
Here's hoping!

millwall looked very good, short on talent but as a team htey were excellent, they moved forwards and backwards as aunit and always had men spare.

city on the other hand looked like a team that had been thrown together at the last mnute undder a new manager, which is exactly what they are. we had so many injuries in the per season games that the team on saturday was barely recognisable and played like 11 newbies.

james was ok, didnt have to do much, none of the goals were really his fault though he could have done a bit better with the second as his near post was covered he left the guy with the chance of the far post and the striker scored.

no stand out performanes from anyone to be honest. elliot was anonymous, campbell-ryce was played out of position and suffered, nicky hunt was average at best and at fault for the second goal and clarkson didnt have a sniff of the millwall goal in 90 mninutes. we need maynard and haynes back asap....

due to new personnel and injuries, city will suffer for the first month, then coppell will have everyone sorted and when we are back to strength we should challenge for the top ten.

Ambrose had agreed to sign for rangers then Palace were bought out and taken out of administration and the deal collapsed. To be honest he wouldn't get a starting place in QPR's midfield. We have Faurlin, Buzacky, Mackie and Tarrabt (easily the best player in the league by a country mile) pulling the strings.
Expect QPR to be up there, Warnock still plans to bring in 2 strikers before the trasfer window closes and we have money to spend. Rumours we are after Chopra, time will tell.

You R's!!!!!!!

are these the players who were either squad players calle dup due to injuries or first team players playing out of position?

clearly you dont know the extent of the injuries at bristol City at the momment which is fair enough but we were playing two central midfielders as centre backs on tuesday night, we have 3 of the first choice 4 defenders injured, both first choice strikers out for at least a month, various other injuries sustained pre season or agaisnt millwall..... but after one game in the league and one game in a meaningless cup competition!??!? and give the excuse he "didnt think he would develop a passion required for the job...." the man is a cock.

After reading his statement it seems the he just couldn't be arsed anymore. Simple as that. Shame really. Decent gaffer.

I was going to post up some sarky anti BC comment, but considering i tipped BC for possible promotion under Coppell this season, it was quite a shock to see today's news.

Blackwell out at the Blades after today's capitulation vs. the Hoops.
Hopefully we can get someone in who's got a fcensoreding clue now.
But it will probably be Speedo 'cos that's the cheap option!

HAHAHAHA come on you R's!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sheffield Utd were a walk in the park.
I was expecting a tougher game from the Blades. Clearly there are problems there or is it because QPR are so good? hmmm scratchchin probably the latter! biglaugh

Great day down the Den. Put in another terrific team performance and made Hull look ordinary. It could have been more too, with mostly one way traffic. Now looking forward to the trip to Leeds next week.

Another cracking win for you boys today. Well done. The Canaries picked up our first points today thanks to super Grant Holt, we should've won by 3 or 4 really. Swansea at home next week which is gonna be very difficult and then Forest away so vital we got 3 points today already this early in the season.

What a fantastic win for Norwich today woohoo

More importantly, 2 clean sheets in a row (John Ruddy and Elliot Ward were excellent today), we're scoring last minute goals and playing for the whole 90 mins.

Notts Forest next weekend, gonna be tough, but they seem to have had a stuttering start to the season and still looking for that first win.

Now off for a drink, aint Saturdays great when your team wins...

After all the raised expectations this week, it was nice to see City play well and get a deserved victory. Great strike from Bellamy at the end too! Early days, but things are looking a lot more positive than they were a few weeks ago! biggrin

How can it be fair that CCFC have even been allowed to take Bellamy on loan, the guy is on £85k a week, and although Man City are paying the bulk of that Cardiff still owe clubs money from transfers last season. Discuss?

Scroll a bit further down the sports page, we already have. Its not really fair, but its the way football is going. As i put on the other thread, i'm more jealous than anything, but if hes been cleared to play then so be it.

To be honest, i don't think anyone would have an issue if Bellamy had signed for their club. As i said on the other thread, Man City were reported to have issues with him going to another Prem club and may have gone out of their way to avoid that once Cardiff said they wanted him and Bellamy gave some indication that he'd play for his home town club. The rest is history.

Personally i don't have a clue what's going on with the club's finances and i think he should still be playing Premiership football, but if Bellamy's signing at Cardiff winds a few Jacks and Bristol City fans up, then that's fine with me.
