Never seen him have anything remotely near a good game, but granted I'm not unfortunate enough to be a WBA season ticket holder (shudder at the thought, what a dump). He's utter dog ste IMO - Championship quality at best. Looks like the movement of his body is in no way connected to the instructions his brain obviously struggles to provide.

I'd also add Maxi Rodriguez to the list. I honestly don't see what he contributes to his team.
we must have a dingle here, what utter crap you speak
If you're going to insult someone for being thick, it might be an idea to use proper punctuation and capital letters at the start of sentences. wink

Would swap Ekotto for Jenas, Lucas for Maxi and Anderson (unfortunate with injuries, has hardly played this season) for Jonny Evans.

Good call on Beckford though, he looks well out of his depth in the PL. I bet him and Anichebe have competitions in training for who can miss the most chances.

Just pointing out that you sound a bit silly calling someone thick, when at the same time showing everyone that you have only a basic grasp of your own language. Twice.

teacher I think you meant to say AN English lesson.

Thought so. You must remember that not every club can afford tens of millions to buy players and hundreds of thousands a week to pay them. You cut your cloth accordingly. At WBA we have to rely on bargain buys, so in the eyes of a MUFC supporter these players will appear inferior. Youssuf Mulumbu cost £150k, less than five days pay for Rooney. For that, we got a defensive midfielder who makes tackles, wins the ball, gives always 100% and never stops working for the team. And he's chipped in with 4 premier league goals. That to me represents better value for money than many of the big clubs' headline signings, Torres, Dzjecko, etc.

I haven't based my comments purely on how much a player costs and whether their performances translate to value for money though. Of course more is expected of a player with big wages and a hefty transfer fee, but that's not the point is it?

I agree, for £150k he was cheap and you can't expect him to be the next Viera, but you're judging Mulumbu purely on a value for money basis. As much as it's a contributing factor in some cases, this thread is about the worst players this season - not just which ones have produced the best or worst value for money. For example, IMO Carrick has been crap because he cost United so much money, but he's certainly not amongst the worst players in the PL this season.

Whilst I'm here, another thought - Eidur Gudjohnsen.

As it's coming to the end of the season, me and mate were arguing over who are the worst players in the Premiership. This is what we came up with.

GK - Manuel Almunia

RB - Tony Hibbert
CB - Titus Bramble
CB - Jody Craddock
LB - Stephen Crainey

RM - Shaun Wright-Phillips
CM - Dean Whitehead
CM - Steve Sidwell
LM - Julien Faubert

ST - David N'Gog
ST - Victor Anichebe

SUBS:
Ali Al-Habsi
Stephen Carr
Steven Caldwell
Joe Cole
Salif Diao
Benjani Mwaruwari
Carlton Cole
Are you talking about in general or just this season? Cos most of these are certainly not the worst players in the league.

If it's this season the one that stand out is Steve Sidwell? Are you having a laugh since he's moved to Fulham he has been consistently good.

Old Trafford and lives in the South East. What a surprise! I hope WBA stay up mate. You have our old manager in Roy Hodgson and as a Fulham fan I know you will be super dificult to beat next season.

Surprised you have Al-Habsi on the list, I'd rate him very highly.

You've missed Franco Di Santo, seems a waste of skin unless I've missed his contribution to Blackburn's campaign.

no he was rubbish for Blackburn scored 1 in 20, at Wigan he has scored 0 in 20 but has 3 assists compared with 1 assist at Blackburn .

John Pantsil needs to be added to the list. 3 own goals is it?

Granted they haven't seen much action, but from a United perspective, Obertan and Bebe have to be mentioned. Utter ste.

To be frank, the problem of the lower teams is they rely heavily on one or two good players, and the rest of the team is still Championship quality. Blackpool is a case in point.

Gomes is a special case though. How he gets to play in the Champions League quarter-finals will mystify me forever! hehe

Or better still, a Champions League semi (with PSV).

And to think Coyle chose to keep him fresh by making him sit out the last few games running up to the semi final. Would have started Alonso everyday.
