There's something about a red WRX, your's is right up there! Very nice cool
Cheers! I wasn't even planning to get a red one last year when I was looking for one but this one had a fair bit of work done to it to tidy it up. I love the red with the bronze wheels and I think I'm right in saying that San Remo Red is a WRX only colour (although could definitely be wrong about that!).

Always disliked the WRX wing personally and fitting an STI would just make the car look as though its trying to be something its not. I find the ducktail is a little bit special if divisive to say the least but I get enough good comments about it to make me happy smile

I really need to find somewhere better upload my pictures from though it seems as they keep dropping off, atleast for me.

Yes it does surprise a few people, new S3 the other day could lose me, 2 nippers in a 370Z i left for dead, followed me and when I stopped , asked what the hell it was! T
That's pretty interesting. Anything done to it?

I've got a WRX wagon running about 300 and that'll only just pull on the HP 350z, the legacy feels quite a bit slower. But then, it's a bigger, softer car so it hides speed better (and I don't really stretch it that much anyway).

I'd really like to feel what this 'quick steering' thing on the newer STi is. After a few years of Subaru it's unfathomable that they do anything in the first 1/4 turn wink

Is the rack as good as they say now?

What's the Levorg like? I did toy with the idea instead of a Forester XT but thought it would feel too slow after my current XT.

I'm enjoying my Final Edition but gritting has started here plus it's muddy thanks to a farm or two so I think I'll keep it for nice days.

I've had Subarus for 15 years or so, first was a base Legacy 2.0, followed by a Spec B saloon, followed by an RB320, then Forester XT, now the FE and an XT.
I'm not sure what I'll do in future now Subaru seem to be leaning away from performance cars in the UK. Still, not a decision for a few years at least.

It's difficult to say really, its definitely very sharp on the turn in and ultra responsive, my drive home has a few 90 degree turns that can be taken at a reasonable speek, and they don't seem to require a huge degree of movement of the wheel, so i'd say its pretty good - its certainly not twitchy at all which is something i was a little concerned about when I read about the quicker rack

If it had just a bit more power I wouldn't have bought the WRX STI, found it very frustrating that the UK forester XT got the FA20 engine, and the Levorg got stuck with the FA16 - aside from the CVT box, which you had to learn to love (and was actually great in some situation) everything about the car was spot on, handled very nicely for what in reality is a practical family wagon.

I toyed with the idea of getting it remapped - 200bhp being achievable without much modification required i'm told, i'd have another one - if only they sort out the engine situation, i hear the current version with the eyesight system has some minor interior tweaks and Subaru has started pushing accessories, including some nice STI alloys - makes me wonder if they are testing the waters for a Levorg STIsport model in the UK now - I'd love to know what importers strategy is, it just seems lazy and half baked at the moment.

Yes, the Levorg with the FA20 would be good, 240-odd bhp would be nice perhaps as a Spec B version. I read the other day that Subaru have a 2.4 twin-turbo in development which will be mated to a hybrid drive but whether Europe will get it with ever tighter emissions regs I don't know. I suspect it'll be the FA16 or nothing. Eyesight will be on most if not all models soon which will mean no manual boxes as it doesn't work with them. Will the BRZ survive as a manual?

That's a beauty, I wish i still had mine - would happily have kept it if it hadn't been for the engine issues i had.... and the inability of anyone to diagnose and fix the issue - enjoy it!!!

It always amazes me that a filthy white car still looks cleaner than a black one with a speck of dust on it. Looks like you had fun!
