For the 15 inch piece of exhaust that joins the left and right manifolds on a classic impreza turbo.

Go on have a guess. £50, £100.

Try £400. Oh that includes VAT and 2 gaskets so not too unreasonable.

Mr Subaru can stick his exhaust up his most convenient orifice. F***ing disgrace, no wonder they dont sell many cars.

Some of the parts prices from main dealers are rediculous.

They wanted £120 for a weather strip at the bottom of my Legacy drivers window and yet only £60 for the full heater switch unit on my impreza.

Sadly, I can believe those prices frown

When I got my Forester the rear centre headrest was missing, so I contacted my local dealer for a price...

Thing is I have to have this part otherwise its an m.o.t failure, its not aesthetics. I've managed to pick one up 2nd hand for a much more reasonable £40 but these cars are now at least 11 years old and not worth a great deal, its almost a technical write off for a piece of exhaust. I know main dealers couldn't give a toss once your car's out of warranty but is there any need to try and pull your pants down to this extent?

It's likey that the OEM part is only mild steel too which adds insult to injury, however there are plenty of custom exhaust fabricators who could make you one out of SS for less.
