ScoobieWRX Can you remap a 1999 Legacy B4 RSK to 95 RON unleaded? If so how much?
The mapping tools i use cover 1992 - 1998 classic, 2001 - 2007 Newage and 2008+ Newgen Hatch and Saloon (Petrol and Diesel). Unfortunately my mapping tools don't cover classic 1999-2000 Subaru. Simon is the man for you because his mapping tools (EcuTek), i'm pretty sure covers your year Legacy. You might be better to email him for prices.

I think one thing Simon and i can agree on is doing a proper oil change whether the method everyone else uses causes extra wear or not.
Do your oil change. Prime your filter and screw it in. Disconnect the crank sensor. Turn engine over till the oil light goes out, reconnect crank sensor. Restart the engine and off you go.
Stick to this and you're doing just a little bit more to minimise wear and tear no matter what.
What differences of opinion Simon and I have, right or wrong, (and that's all they are...Opinions) i have no doubt will always exist no matter what. Lots of tuners have differences of opinion and they all think they are right.
There won't be a next time because ultimately it is nothing more than a waste of time and you are absolutely right, it shouldn't happen, and all it does is descend into Scabbynet Syndrome so apologies to everyone for this from my behalf.
Let's move on

I've seen a few of your posts and tbh you always seem very knowledgable.
Thanks for the advice mate.

FWIW I would not listen to either Simon or Francis. The former spends most of his time either working on some ghastly green car or posting dyno charts on facebook, and the latter on here posting exhaustive replies...
So sorry, don't do shorthand No doubt you'll be giving the Porker forum the benefit of your golden nuggets now you've joined

I'm actually looking forward to hearing what you think of your porker after a time in the owners seat comparing it back to back with your old scoob. I'm sure it will make interesting reading and ultimately whether or not you miss your old car so many weeks/months down the road.
It's all good
