Induction kit vs air filter

Really? You can actually feel the difference, despite the extra heat soak from the engine? And without a remap?
Sorry, missed this reply. Yes I really can, but like people have said including yourself I believe I will need a better remap to make better use if it as I could be sucking in too much air for the turbo to cope with. Will take your advice, drive off boost and get myself to ScoobyWorld asap!Edit: has a prodrive remap, but only to 320

Not to mention it would probably change the handling characteristics at the front end. I assume with more air going in, you're looking at more down force at the front, albeit not entirely where you'd want it to go!
Putting an induction kit does create a lot more space for air to flow mind.
That white box that comes connected under the air filter box, is that to collect unwanted moisture?
Depends if that additional downforce increases front end grip. In which case that would've a good thing for a car with a natural propensity for understeer...Putting an induction kit does create a lot more space for air to flow mind.

Take the induction kit off and do the snorkus mod. Then sell the kit on eBay making sure you quote the impressive bolt on power increase.
Right, can I confirm the snorkus mod please? I have heard a couple of versions and would be interested to hear which one is the one!
1. Remove intake from wing to front underbonnet. Remove resonator in wing. Fit pipe from front O/S fog cover (modded to fit) to airbox via hole in wing. (this is the one I am in the process of doing, just need to get pipe fitted to airbox.)
2. Remove resonator in wing. Cut the resonator part off (large box). Fibreglass over the hole. Refit.
Many thanks in advance, any pros and cons would be nice as well!
