Yep, there is some symmetry with this purchase, so to speak... Next question - exhaust... I do miss the volume of the scooby when pressing on (although to be fair, it's not exactly quiet)...

So, 1 week in and 1180 miles... It's just fantastic, absolutely fantastic smile I guess I miss the explosive turbo, and that exhaust sound, but other than that, this will do for some time to come wink

It's a lovely looker dude!! I bet once you get used to throwing it around it will feel pretty good.

ETA: What does it weigh, and how many ponies??

It's 305bhp and 250ft/lbs. I don't know the exact weight, but it's 205bhp per-tonne. Performance and drving wise it's a trade off between no lag vs. the massive torque of the scooby at about 3.5K RPM (the scooby was 340ft/lbs). As I have said before, when it comes to brute force off the line, the scooby wins hands down. However, from 80 leptons onwards this would outgun it.

Probably sideways followed by backwards... hehe

I can't see it needing more than 350, at least on public roads... Or more precisely, with yours truly holding the handle bars!

hehe Very carefully. If I get it wrong then I need to let the window down, get out, then put it back up again...

Lovely cars these, a bloke at work has one so I see it on a daily basis and have had a poke around inside a few times. A very credible alternative to a 911, he had a 996 Turbo S on loan over the weekend and despite the enormous gulf in performance he didn't think that the 911 was that much more fun than the Cayman.

I know what you mean about the exhaust though, it sounds flat as a pancake unless your foot is flat on the floor. A good sports exhaust could really let that flat 6 howl like it deserves.

Yeah, still deciding what to do on the exhaust front. It's sounds epic foot to the floor, but that's not how you drive everywhere.

Being mid engined it's got great natural balance. Its therefore probably easier to exploit by the ameture compared to the 911.
