On my MY99 UK Turbo when cornering hard left, I am getting an awful grinding/vibration through the steering wheel.

I've had the OSF wheel bearing changed, but this has made no difference.

Anyone experienced this before? I'm going to the Nurburgring in 4 weeks so need it sorting pretty sharpish.

Help! smile

Thanks

Have a look at the backing plates attached to your wheel hubs behind the brake rotors. They can get bent and scrape on the brake rotors so when the wheels are at extreme angles like hard left they rub.

I'd make sure your brake calipers are well bolted in and see how much of a gap you have between the brake rotor and your caliper. Again with extreme angles everything flexes and gets hot and expands with lots of hard braking so the rotor could be scraping the caliper if clearance is very tight at extreme angles and when driven hard. Specially so on brand new rotors.

Just a stab in the dark...lol.. smile

My rear brake rotor guard was doing this last week. Had me worried until I pinpointed it. Convinced it was due to rough ground on our Le mans campsite. My celica used to do it everytime too. Worth a check before spending money
