How much would you expect to pay for New STI TYPE UK

There's a few on for 28k-29k but then they don't seem to be shifting, the economy isn't exactly pumping large numbers of flush punters through the door and the cost of petrol is climbing faster than a monkey with its arse on fire.

What would you guys think is a fair price for admittedly one of the last new STIs (I know they're ugly etc , no I don't want a P1 ...) in the curent climate?

I'm looking for a hatchback ideally but I think there are none left.

Subaru are selling the last ones off at £27,995 see here so I'd expect to pay a chunk less than this

Just beware of the melting piston problem...not sure if they ever sorted that issue out on the sti's

I would say 23k will get you a new/nearly new one. The piston issue is overblown and since you'll have a three year warranty it's not an issue for you. Just keep the oil inspected weekly.

On the flip side will be good for the used market so it's not that bad and if you want one you can always import from Japan.

Perhaps if they had originally priced them at £28k instead of a ridiculous £33k they might still be selling brand new ones in the UK.......
