Hi Forum Scooby Fans,

I've just finished the run in period in my lovely new car - 1000miles keeping under 4000rpm and no 100% throttle stuff (yawn yawn).

Now that I can run the rpm needle up a little higher i'm very impressed, in fact its got me wondering if this car has a little more under the bonnet than the advertised 295/300 bhp.

Fully appreciate that this could all be down to perspective, my last car was a lot slower, and I've been taking it nice and easy so I'm taking this with a pinch of salt, any one else in a final edition (or even one of the other 2015/16/17 models) noticing a touch more power than expected?

If its just in my head - well done Subaru marketing department, you've done a good job!

Thanks

I doubt it will have any more power, the engines are a little... crap to go pushing more power out of.
What you are probably feeling is the fact that its colder and you have more air going in, always good for a few extra hp smile

Pics?.

I actually like the final edition, it just looks so right. If I weren't mortgaged up to the hilt, running 3 cars and trying to keep my Mrs in the manner to which she is accustomed then I'd have one in a heartbeat.

I noticed mine was hustling along fairly at 05:30 this morning coming home from work, the cold, slightly damp air made 3rd gear such fun.

I've often found if I have a bit of an 'economy drive' for half a tank or so, then boot it on boost...I simply forget how fast the car is and the sensation of torque is greater.
