FYI
Every now and again, I pop the radio on if I wake in the wee small hours.
If I'm lucky, it coincides with either Doctor Karl or Naked Scientists; entertaining and informative if sometimes maybe a little low-brow for such esteemed company here at PH Towers.
Just had a butchers and both are available as podcasts; should be worth a listen for those of us with a light-weight interest in science related topics.

Dr Karl is a legend. His Triple J (Aus) podcast is also brilliant

That last link doesn't work.
But while you're repairing it, you might like "The Infinite Monkey Cage", on BBC Radio 4, with the amaaaaaaaazing Prof. Brian Cox and his comedy companion, Robon Ince.
See, or rather listen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00snrk2
Apologies if you can't - some BBC progs that are on Listen Again are not available outside the UK.
