Might catch up on it, is it a repeat? There have been one or two cropping as repeats.

Don't worry, that leader of stupids is trying to set up a TV channel and radio station, that should spread the word..

At least these programs offer the opportunity to back up the fact that man went to the moon.
By offerring an argument which can then be displayed to be false, in doing so backing up the truth.

First moon landing in 1969 was the equivalent of perhaps 7500 lines of C code
The F-22 Raptor fighter jet uses about 1.7 million lines of software code
Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner passenger jet is expected to use close to 6.5 million lines of code
Modern luxury vehicle close to 100 million lines of software code

Did the moon landing happen? Yes.

Not sure of the point? The computer on the spacecraft was small and only had to do certain things, the computer back on Earth that also number crunched was a supercomputer of the day and had some very talented people working in the background.

One documentary to check out would be "Dark Side of the Moon" which is about Stanley Kubrick filming the moon landings.

Now I do believe, we did land on the moon and so does the presenter. It is just a very interesting documentary for any Kubrick fans (and conspiracy theorists!)

Well, having spoken to the second man to have (allegedly rolleyes) walked on the moon. I can say, either he is the best blagger on the planet, or they did it yes. I personally think that it would have been far more difficult to fake it, than do it. I had my doubts, then I saw his face, now I'm a believer hehe.

Are you mad? The tip of the pencil could break off and affect the electronics or something. What they really need is a pen that will write upside down and it is the simple lack of that which proves it must have been a spoof. wink
Clearly you never heard of the Russian Space Pen wink

What's "interesting" about it?

Don't you realise that one of the major mistakes in the movie "2001" was their rendition of how the moon looked from the surface?

Which is identical to the American space pen i.e. it's a pen.

When you dig into it it gets really interesting and throws up major issues for the hoax. For example, Mr Punchy (and rightly so), all driven men. Engineers and educated. Working with their peers and using kit designed for a purpose built by people of the same bent. You going to tell theses guys to get on that film set?

Also the film set. Has a few major issues as well not least of which there was not then and there is not now a vacuum chamber big enough to film it and that is before you try to engineer a film crew inside one. The idea of it filmed on Earth is laughable quite frankly. There is just so much in support of it happening.

Anyone remember my moon hoax thread?

The dc8p link no longer works and I can't find it anywhere else but it was irrefutable proof of the hoax.

Eric you starred in this thread!

Aye, the penny wasn't dropping especially when you said that badastronomy was not a joke, some good info came out on that thread though. The moon panoramas link still works.

It's a good story but it's an urban myth.

Absolutely.

The REAL story of a similar nature that WAS true was the money spent by NASA on the vacuum RAZOR. They were concerned that bristles would float free in Zero G and cause electrical problems if they got behind instrument panels etc. In reality, nothing special was needed as, with an ordinary razor, the bristles stuck to the soap anyway.

That's a different device - although it may include some elements of the smaller razor devised by NASA for the earlier Apollo missions.

So the money wasn't wasted after all.
