It was meant as a serious question!!

Seem to remember that they turn into 2 magnets.. but at what point? would love to see an animation showing the poles move around as it was cut in half (if that is what happens). I'll try and find a video.

eta. searching for "Cutting magnets in half" on youtube just brings up endless videos about "cutting your energy bills in half" with perpetual bullst magnetic engines and similar guff.
