In case you thought setting off a nuclear device was an uncommon occurance:


Nuclear Explosions 1945-1998



Possibly quite comforting really, in that us humans have unleashed what would seem to be the equivalent of exploding millions of tonnes of TNT, to very little effect really.......

A brilliant find - interesting way of presenting data. A slow start but it gets going, some years were mad. Surprised me just how many Francs the French have blown away!

No secret tests from Israel of course.

Or the post WW2 German ones.

So you see America had several years to trash the Ruskies, and didn't. I wonder what would have happened had the reverse been true?

Then again if Hitler hadn't expelled all the best scientists...

What are the ones in North Africa at the end of 1961 and through 1962? I didn't know of any testing by the French in Africa.
