This story is all over the 'Net, often in sceptical terms, but who is Dr.Silver?
Many have tried to find where his doctorate was awarded, to no avail. He has no other books or publications to his name - strange for an academic - and a writers' website claims to have given him the idea during a drunken conversation at a writing conference five years ago! http://ideas4writers.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/memb...

A U.S. ecologist says conditions such as bad backs and sunburn suggest humans did not evolve alongside other life on Earth
In a new book, Dr Ellis Silver says aliens put humans our planet as recently as tens of thousands of years ago
He suggests the Earth might be a prison planet, since humans seem to be a naturally violent species and are here until we learn to behave ourselves

In his book, HUMANS ARE NOT FROM EARTH: A SCIENTIFIC EVALUATION OF THE EVIDENCE, the ecologist writes the human race has defects that mark it of being ‘not of this world’.

‘Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth's environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more,’ he told Yahoo.

He also believes humans are not designed to be as exposed to the sun as they are on Earth, as they cannot sunbathe for more than a week or two – unlike a lizard – and cannot be exposed to the sun every day without problems.
More brilliant articles from The Daily Madness.

Makes a lot more sense than most of the stuff in the DM.

If that's true then I guess we're destined to be 'imprisoned' here for an awful long time to come.

I see now, we "the people" are the prisoners on earth placed here by aliens alongside pre-existing species numbering in the tens of thousands.

ok we don't like the sun very much (well some of us) but odd how say 99% of the stuff on the planet goes quite well with "Human".

a lot of us are getting buttfked by various governments on a regular basis - is that what he meant?

or are we living in a real life shawshank?

Did you possibly read that as "naturally occurring floods"? smile

"In a new book" is all you need to read.

What a cretin.
It's a click bait story for the Daily Mail, high on BS likely to get passed round the world and clicked on by a very high percentage of them - more clicks more traffic more money from the advertisers.
