My question would be 'Which rocket are you going on?'

Big discussion on this a week or so ago. I think it was in the "News" forum.

The plan is real - but it is full of hollow claims and lacking massively in important detail.

At the moment it is essentially hype - and I will be very, very surprised if it ever gets beyond that.

Scary bit about the previous thread, or rather the link in it, the finalists were going to be picked on a vote from a TV audience. Looks like Big Brother at the next level. So well qualified for the job? Gos knows but can hold a smile on TV.

I hope it's a rehash of that space trip tv thing Johny Vaughn did a few years ago.
A load of fkwits were sent to Russia and thought they were in space. Anybody remember that or did I dream it?

Probably disappear shortly after some muppet has put funding.

I see a plan here, Ark B. All the bankers maybe on this one?

Same was probably said of the early explorers setting sail for distant lands. How many of those planned expeditions never got off the drawing board - but despite these setbacks - people still endeavoured and some were ultimately successful.

Maybe this one won't come to fruition either - but we'll never get to Mars if people don't have vision. Eventually somebody will take the leap.

There is vision to get there, but I think the organisers are being a bit fey with peoples lives where they can end up brown bread very quickly. If indeed they get anywhere. Looking through the applicants, some seem very qualified whilst others are perhaps not. It would seem that the media is expected to play a part and in that part played, help with the funding?

Still think the Chinese will get there first though, in a do or die event.

I almost hope they do a win for the godless communists would probably be enough to spur on a new space race.

There are dreamers and their are dopes.

This "project" belongs in the latter category - unless, of course, it is really a form of financial scam - in which case the project orgnasiers aren't the dopes, only those who pay them any money.

Seriously, go read the project website and you will see how half baked this whole project is.
