That all went very well. And the payload separated just as they were coming up on the Irish west coast.

The whole craft performed what they were calling a "dog leg manoeuver" which I presume means a change to its orbital path to put it on course to meet the ISS.

Just found this cool 360 video of the rocket that is launching British astronaut Tim Peake being moved into position.

http://youtu.be/e7_cutpsSbg

If you haven't seen a 360 video before, you can swipe the screen to look around, or on a smartphone just move the phone around.

Brilliant when he turned to the onboard camera and gave an enthusiastic thumbs up. The kids at the Space Centre went wild smile

Just watched the launch, great to see his Thumbs up to the camera. I think i read that it will take around 6 hours for the Soyuz capsule to reach the ISS, I dont know if it is possible to watch the dock and him boarding the station live, but i would like to see this!

SpaceX finally get a successfully stage 1 landing (as well as launching 11 satellites)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5bTbVbe4e4

impressive stuff, they also have upgraded the Falcon 9 significantly in terms of it's payload capacity.
