"NASA just announced that any published research funded by the space agency will now be available at no cost, launching a new public web portal that anybody can access. The free online archive comes in response to a new NASA policy, which requires that any NASA-funded research articles in peer-reviewed journals be publicly accessible within one year of publication."

Good. Academic journals are a racket, and the sooner we are shot of them the better IMO.

It is good and enables those who would like to follow research access post Uni life (and anyone else who is interested) hopefully more institutions follow suit

Good of them, since the American taxpayer and their future generations pay for it.

Mind you, most of the stuff from NASA GISS might as well go straight in the bin.

That's the NASA GISS stuff I was referring to. The "bad NASA".
