Just remembered
That experiment when you demonstrate Brownian motion using that brown gas (Bromine ?)
Front desk, evacuated flask and ampule in a rubber tube connected to it, teacher is meant to break ampule and brown gas is meant to diffuse instantly into flask.
What actually happens, teacher drops ampule onto students desk in front of him, Ampule breaks, teacher grabs bucket of emergency ammonia solution and pours it over student who is still sat gazing at the broken ampule.
Result
Lots of white smoke and school kid smelling of piss from head to toe

Christ even us Clankies know "add acid to water, not water to acid".....................well done that man!!!!!!
Would win the "inflatable shark of floodingness swim of shame" in our place for that - i.e. whenever you've caused a chemical spill or flood the following day a 6ft inflatable shark will be placed, inflated, on your desk, to be housed, until the next person commits same offence / management have clients round and we have to deflate it.

, He thought he was just washing down some off the flood, didn't think that the sump was full of neat acid.
We used to have a machined 'member' with a can of foam cleaner plumbed into it, presented to 'knob of the year' when the foam cleaner was 'discharged' over the recipient.
Probably get sacked for it these days.
