I thought this was quite cool and wondered how it would move about.
Fans seems sensible and presumably it goes back to a charging port when it's power gets low.
As it doesn't weigh anything in space battery weight and payload not much of an issue.
But obviously more mass = slower reaction/acceleration/deceleration times..
I wonder how fast it moves about. It reminds me of those target balls Luke Skywalker practised against with his light sabre ..

I thought as well as interacting with the crew and scaring the crap out of them when it tiptoes up behind them it could also do some useful stuff. I wonder if it has stealth mode?

Measure O2 CO2 levels around the station. Carry onboard O2 and CO2 canisters.
O2 Level a bit low in compartment x give it a squirt. Also if fire detected go to area and deploy CO2 etc etc.

I'm sure a film beckons when Cimon goes rogue and tries to impregnate an astronaut aka Proteus in 'Demon Seed'

But all that aside a neat gadget and something to help keep the crew entertained and engaged.

Even though it has no weight in space, it still has mass and it needs to move about the interior with care so that it doesn't clobber anybody. Getting smacked by a chunk of metal and plastic will hurt in Zero G just like it does in 1G.
