I subscribe to Anton Petrov’s videos. Usually summarising something in recent scientific research. You can generally ignore the visual stuff and treat it as an audio podcast.

Anyway, here he addresses the subject of this thread…

Last night I went into the garden for a bit of late night drunken star gazing. Noticed a bright star where I wasn't expecting one. Then noticed it was moving.

I have a video of it. Anyone want to see it? What ever it is was very far away and the video is zoomed in a 12x. It's also a bit hard to differentiate between it moving and my pissed hand holding of the phone but there is a bit that's definitely not me moving, plus it looks odd even if it was static.

I thought I was hallucinating at the time and it was only when I re watched the video that I though it was genuinely odd.

The photo below is it. Annoyingly the two faint stars to the left aren't visible in the video as they would provide a frame of reference that they aren't moving when it is.

No. I saw a small satellite go across, possibly a starlink but this was much bigger and brighter.

So explanation on the above. The first 10 seconds the movement is me not holding the phone still, the middle 10 seconds I am sure is genuine, the last bit of it zooming in and out I am fairly sure that's me fiddling with the zoom settings.

Even if the movement is my pissed unsteady hands, it looks odd no?

OK ignore. I have with less wine I think worked it out. Its the star Vega which apparently has a very fast spin making it appear unusual.

I added the grid to the video and it looked liked it moved but when I focused by eye to it was still within the triangle.

When you Google Vega one of the suggested questions is "does Vaga move".

Stay off the wine is probably the take away.

A YouTube link just appeared when I opened up YouTube, the person posting the videos appears to have access to old film/tapes of television interviews with witnesses of UFOs, hope you find it interesting.

There are compelling pictures, but not available to the public:

The Calvine incident is a good example:

The 6 pictures were due to be declassified this year, but the MOD have now said the records will not be released until 2072 :

One expert who examined the photo said it was genuine or a very elaborate hoax but with tools and techniques two chefs wouldn't have.

So if its genuine. WTF is it?

If USA developed a silent anti gravity plane over 30 years ago, why hasn't China/Russia also discovered /stolen the tech.

Or maybe the FBI found the blue prints in Trumps desk at Mar a Largo

Perhaps that's what they were referring to in the article when they stated "off-world vehicles not made on this Earth"

Looks fake to me (lighting effects on the UFO don't align with the plane).

ETA: But I'm no expert, so take of that what you will.

Don’t forget:

(a) the plane is much further away;
(b) daylight isn’t necessarily constant;
(c) if no skylight filter, more distant objects will appear hazy;
(d) this is a print (using a colour process) from a black & white original - we’ve no idea what colour the UFO was, whereas we do know the plane was painted in matt dark colours intended to make it less distinct.

It would be most instructive to see the other 5 images in the series. For a start, is this object allegedly circular (saucer-shaped)? Was it rotating? Multiple images, especially if hand-held (not locked-off on a tripod) would give some additional context to scale.

I agree. The fact it got classified is the most interesting part for me.

If it's terrestrial and using new propulsion systems, that's just as exciting.

The absence of high resolution images on all of these UFO sighting is one of the indicators to me that the image is likely to be a fabrication.
There are so many different things you can do to photos in post-production or even during the capture of an image that it leaves the door wide open to misdirection.
Magicians can perform many optical illusions in real-time to fool observers; which for a photographer, if you are wanting to play a similar game, with all the time in the world to setup the photo or to affect it post-production, means that they all rely on low-resolution to enable the fooling to be effective.
